Revisiting the 07-08 Denver Nuggets - How would they do today?

Its been almost 9 years since the Denver Nuggets fell victim to Kobe Bryant and the Lakers in the 2008 NBA Playoffs. This is one of my favorite teams of all time, I believe they underachieved. They had Marcus Camby fresh off from being named Defensive Player of the Year, Carmelo Anthony, and a still VERY good Allen Iverson. Kenyon Martin gave the team toughness on defense and offense, and Nene rounded out the bench (Though he was injured most of the season).

What do you think this team could accomplish now 9 years later?

I think they would be in the top 4 of the west, and have a good chance of making it to the Western Conf Finals.

I think they'd be a Playoff team, possibly in the range of the 4th-6th seed. I think the 2009 team with Billups and Melo would have fared a little better, since they did make it to the Western Conference Finals. I thought they might have a couple more runs in them, but that was definitely their peak.

This is type of roster you'd have huge success if assembled in video games.

In today's league, perhaps 6th seed in west at best, 10th at worst.

I think they would fair better in the now NBA. I feel like the NBA now moves more at the pace the Nuggets would have liked to play at more often. They got crushed by the Lakers (4-0) in the first round because of the Lakers slow down, half court offense.

More teams now would play at the Nuggets pace, just my opinion.

Shame for AI that he got offensive help as late as he did (32). And it wasn't prime Melo he got, either.

It was kind of bad timing for both. Melo was so young, and Iverson was JUST passed his prime.
