Transparency with Live 2000

I need some help with importing files with EAGE. I can import cyberfaces just fine but when I import a file like a court logo (that needs transparency) the game will crash. What file type do I need to save it as to be able to import transparent files for NBA Live 2000. I think I was saving them as .png. Also do the jersey's in live 2000 use transparency?
