NBA Live 98 on Windows 7 crashes on start screen

I have downloaded nGlide and started the game as 3DFX and also changed the compatibility mode but the just crashes every time the ea logo appears. Any suggestions?

If you've got Windows 7 Professional, Ultimate, or Enterprise, you can try installing Windows XP Mode and running the game there. If you happen to have an XP installation disc - or even better, Windows 98 - you could also set up a virtual machine with VMWare Player.

Any video game crashes at Windows XP Mode. It's for programs that work in Windows XP, not games.

Try using VMWare Player.

I have starter. Can you explain to me the procedure with starting the game with vmware player?

VMWare is virtual machine software. You'd need an XP disc to create a virtual machine and install Windows XP on it.

Ok so these are the steps:

Run the Windows XP virtual machine, install NBA Live 98 there, play NBA Live 98. You'll probably want to install the official patch as well.

You should be able to copy it across to the XP installation in VMWare by dragging and dropping the file, but if you run into any problems, just download it from within the virtual machine.

Thanks man huge help. About that 2001 do you know where can I find a proper reg fix? I have tried this site http://www.zeus-software.com/downloads/ ... patibility but nothing.
