Problems booting up

So I am trying to go back and play NBA Live 2000. (Best one of all time in my opinion).
Its the PC version, and I am running XP. I used to play it on XP so I do not believe that is the issue.
Though I get this error when I boot it up:
The game goes to the black screen like it is going to load, then flashes and the error noise and this message comes up.
If anyone has any ideas, please let me know.
I've tried using a registry fixing program and updating my graphics driver (which shouldn't be a problem as its a newer card) to no avail.

Your disk is likely scratched, friend. Try purchasing a "Like New" copy of the game via the EA site, amazon or ebay. You should find a repackaged version for rather cheap at this juncture. Good luck!
