Why is there a "tweaked" patch?

Postby xtianjay on Wed Mar 19, 2003 11:00 pm

I downloaded the 2003 patch (March), and there was something written "tweaked rosters" there. Why were the rosters tweaked?

Also I noticed when I started using the roster, the offensive rebounding was 38, and the defensive rebounding was 1. Is this correct?

I went on to franchise mode, and in my 2nd franchise year, the CPU CHANGED THE REBOUNDING STATS!

Now everyone has a 50 value for rebounding. Oh well, I just wanna know why, I'm not really angry or anything---just curious as to why such numbers were chosen.

Yes the stats were correct...

I'm no pro on this...so somebody else could probably explain this better but...

The Tweaked roster is for gameplay puposes only...it's supposed to make it more 'realistic' in the actual game...
I wouldn't use it in your franchise if i were you...you will get unrealistic simulated stats...:)

Only the DSTATS ratings of the PLAYERS.DBF affect the simulated game stats.
But actual ratings don't.

Yes and no. The DSTATS control simulated performance...when they are present. Any player who does not have DSTATS will have their simulated performance calculated by their ratings, which is a problem when using the Tweaked rosters. That includes created rookies and ones generated by the game.
