Talk about NBA Live 95-2002 here.

I just picked up NBA Live 99 for a couple of bucks just to fool around with, and was wondering where the most updated patches and/or rosters would be? I realize the game is 8 years old, so there probably isn't much out there, but I'd like to get it as up-to-date as possible.
Thanks!

A lot of the patches we had in our database have been lost over time as the websites they were hosted on were mostly free hosts and have been shut down due to inactivity, the files disappearing into the ether. We've got a very small selection
here. Scubilete was making up to date rosters for Live 99 some time back but I'm not sure when he stopped or if his last update is still out there somewhere.

yeah, that was sometime ago, season 03-04 was the last update but I still have some compilation of patches on CDs:
these links offer some old files still available to download
- Code:

http://www.geocities.com/scqg/downloads.html
http://www.geocities.com/colosseum/2662/nbalive/

and my last roster:
Live 99
If you need jerseys, some of the formats used on Live 2000 would work for you, so I don't know if NLSC has some or you can visit alexboom site.
Right now that's the most I can do for you,

It looks as though it's still available
here.

It's a shame all the roster files from 99,2000 ect are all gone. I would really like some roster files for 2000 from the 2000-2002 seasons.

Make one yourself?

I have made a 2000 playoff roster for live 2000. Mostly just the playoff teams are done though. But who wouldnt want the old nlsc rosters?

I'm not sure if I've still got any of them lying around, Lutz was making the updates in those days.

I need to pull out some of my old CD's. I swear I had a couple on there from 2002. If I find any would like to reupload them to the site Andrew?

Sure, I'll take a look through my archives.

I haven't had any luck so far, unfortunately. I've got some old updates for 95, 96, 97, 98, 2001, 2003, 2004, 2005 and of course 06, 07 and 08 but none for NBA Live 2000. I'll keep looking.

So...is there a patch that has the latest roster based from 07-08 season? or 06-07 season? for NBA live 99?
Sun May 25, 2008 10:24 pm
BTW...and where can I download it?
Thanks!

No and nowhere.
Refer to the second post in this thread for more info.

I can't remember any updates for the N64 ever being posted, either.

What kind of stupid custom title is that Andrew. The Hypnotoad is nothing but a stupid minor character from Futurama. Even while looking at a clip of the hypnotoad I can tell that ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD!

So...is there a patch that has the latest roster based from 07-08 season? or 06-07 season? for NBA live 99?
I just found that site, they claim to have a 05-06 roster for Live 99, that's actually the very last update of the roster I've seen around, whoever who's still looking can try it and hopefully it works.

Is there any value in getting this game and expanding my project (which no one likely uses) for it? Does it have any advantage over Live 2000, like for instance shorter or no delays for free throws and inbound passes? I'm thinking about getting this and need the advice (even though it's not much).

NBA Live 99 was a fine game and the official patches resolved some of the issues it shipped with, but I'm not sure of its popularity today compared to NBA Live 2000 especially since 2000 saw the debut of Franchise Mode.

I'm going to give this a miss. I just spent $150 on other old games. It opens up a can of worms, also; why not 98, 97, 96 (which I have)? I think I'll call it quits at NBA Live 2000 simply because it's the first that features decade all stars and hopefully is the definitive classic NBA Live interface style (which I love).
UPDATE: I may get 99 in a couple of hours, but I am unsure about 98 yet, also, I'm not confident I'll set up new conversion files.
UPDATE 2: Yeah, I'm getting it, hopefully if all goes well (it doesn't get lost en route). I think the 98 version I was looking at was Sega and not the PC version as listed.
