Making a player an All-Star

How do you make a player an All-Star in the roster for Live 2000?
And also delete the old all stars?

The feature to do it in the the Toolkit from NLSC is disabled
Any ideas?

Deleting an old All-Star:

• Use the Toolkit to change his ISCREATED attribute to true (check the Created box)
• Enter the game, load the roster, go to the Create-a-Player screen
• Delete the old All-Star from the Created Players list.

Adding a new All-Star:

There are a few ways of doing this in NBA Live 2000:

METHOD 1:

• Create a new player. Leave his attributes blank
• Using a DBF editor such as DB Commander or the Toolkit, fill in the player's details with the NBA player you are making an All-Star
• Move him to the desired All-Star team

METHOD 2:

• Overwrite an existing All-Star by changing all his attributes to those of the new All-Star (do this manually, do not just copy the row in the DBF)

METHOD 3:

• Change the All-Star teams to custom teams (consult our Teams Editing Guide)
• Add new players to the team, remove old ones
• Edit the original players "Duplicate ID", change this to 0. For the new, duplicate players on the All-Star teams, edit their "Sub ID", change this to 0.

i tried method 3 but now my game crashes every time i try to play with the all-star teams in exhibition

also when I go to playoffs it started crashing after i did this

and in season standings when i look at western conference it crashes, eastern conf. works, though, strange

For Method 3, you also have to delete the old All-Stars. That means changing their ISCREATED attribute to True (or checking the "Created" box in the Toolkit) then deleting them from the Created Players list.

I also did this but it still won't work
I also left the old all stars that were still on the team (ie carter, mcgrady, iverson), do I have to delete them also and make them all-stars again?

No, you can leave them.

Try this:

Create a custom team. Add the players you wish to make All-Stars to the roster.

Using a DBF editor (or preferably the Toolkit), move them to the Free Agent Pool.

Change their SUBID to 0, and their DUPECOUNT to 0. Also change the original player's DUPECOUNT to 0.

Mark the appropriate players on the All-Star teams for deletion (make them created players).

Go back into the game, delete the now-empty custom team. Also delete the All-Stars you set as being created.

Exit the game, and use the Toolkit/DBF editor to move the players to their respective All-Star teams. Again, it's preferable to use the Toolkit, as you can then re-order the rosters.

Start the game, load the rosters. That should work.

If all else fails, try METHOD 1 or METHOD 2 - they take a little longer, but there's less chance of errors.
