Talk about NBA Live 95-2002 here.

...I finally got a chance to update my rosters. Rosters are accurate as of 2/23. I added as many new players as I could(J.R.Bremer, Emanuel Ginobili, etc.). Because of limited space, a few bench players were left out.
Rosters are on Sharkport for anyone who wants them....

I still play live 2002. 2003 wasn't my kind of game
You doing a franchise or season Jeff?
Sat Mar 01, 2003 5:51 pm
I just started a season. I had 2003, but I'm a D-pad guy. I hate that analog stick, so I took the game back.

Yeah same, I prefer the d-pad. Thats how I grew up playing. And besides it feels too arcadey. But its not the same type of arcade game as NBA street so it's not as fun. I hope 2004 is a little bit more realistic otherwise I'll be playing 2002 again. Do you like 2002 Jeff? Or not really?
Later dude

Oh yes, I stlll like 2002. Despite its flaws, it's still a great game. I don't play it as much as before because of Madden 2003, Vice City, GTA3, Tekken 4, Tekken TT & Mortal Kombat-Deadly Alliance.

I think I'll do an Atlanta franchise. I updated most of my rosters, and added a few players but not all of them.

I've never had a chance to play 2002. Is it good? Why?
Sat May 24, 2003 2:17 pm
It's slower than NBA Live 2002, though FG% is still a little high, but the scores are easier to control. It's fairly easy to score less than 100 points (and still win) on Superstar, with 12 minute quarters. Blocks are also more realistic, but too easy to get. The offensive rebounding problem from NBA Live 2001 was also still there, as well as couple of bugs in the stats tracking.
The main disadvantage of course is that there isn't a PC version. But it wasn't a terrible game by any means.

how do i put a roster update into NBA Live 2002 on PS2? How is it done?

You need to have a Sharkport, which allows you to download PS2 save files then import them onto a memory card. Someone else can probably explain it in more detail than I can.

I used to have NBA Live 2002 when I was using a ps1. I recently purchased a ps2 slim silver,

and tried the ps1 version of NBA Live 2002 on it. It worked and the menus looked fine but then when I started a game the graphics looked odd and messed up. So I found the ps2 version of NBA Live 2002 on ebay and now I'm waiting for it in the mail. NBA Live 2002 is the ONLY basketball video game I like. I've tried all the other NBA Lives and the NBA2k series. None have been as fun as NBA Live 2002
