Franchise mode wont work

i have posted a similar complaint on another board, but thought i would post it here in the franchise area (as it is a franchise issue), to see if i garner more replies (thanks to the only old mate who replied on the other board).

whenever i try to run a franchise, i can finish the first season, and then while generating the new rookies, the game crashes. the game also crashes when i try to create new players. can neone help?
