Live 2000 Career Stats for Created Players

Postby mortalsoul3 on Mon Apr 11, 2005 12:20 pm

Fellas --

Alex, Andrew, bullsfan from Northbrook, CoolMac, anyone . . . does there exist a software application/database edit in which the author of created players may generate statistics for those players for the seasons prior their creation? In other words, can I configure Live's database log to generate realistic career points, rebounds, assists, blocks, steals, minutes, etc. (based on the ratings as I set them) for a non-rookie player whom I've already created and added to my Live 2000 roster?

Hope my question makes sense, and I appreciate any information.

Using DB Commander, it's possible to edit career.dbf to add statistics for created players. Just use the correct PLAYERID so that you can assign the data to them.

Can't you use the NBA Live toolkit, too? I'm not for sure on that one, mortalsoul, but maybe the other guys know...

Very good, gentlemen. I appreciate the information . . . do you all recommend one database commander/editor product, or are they all just about the same? Thanks again, and peace.

actually they are all about the same..........but the one mentioned by andrew is FREE.....so i recommend that one........regarding the toolkit.....there are limitations to the things you can edit there.....whereas no limitations if you edit the dbf file...... (Y)

It's been ages since I used the NBA Live 2000 Toolkit, I can't remember if it's possible. I know it's definitely possible (and fairly simple) using DB Commander.

DB Commander is not free, it's shareware

And about the NBA Live Toolkit, well I assume that you have Access 2000 (and no longer 97), so you can only use the Live 2003 toolkit, where you can't edit career stats for players

Alex --

Thanks. I didn't think so . . . just hoping I was wrong, hoping there was some means by which I might generate year-by-year pre-1999 seasonal stats and career totals for these created players. Did you catch my additional information for the created player roster: "Author's Notes_and_League Guidebook"?

Appreciations. MT

Well, you can do it with DB Commander, it may take some time, but it's possible :)

I got your "Author's Notes_and_League Guidebook". It's really impressive. I'm gonna add it to your patch soon, probably in the next Alexsite update, coming along the next roster update, ready for the playoffs

Thank you so much. I asked this question like 5-6 years ago when I played the Live 2000 but nobody answered my question. I always wanted do add some career stats for my non-rookie created player. I will re-install the game and relive some old good memories :) this weekend.
