the CPU assist improves the FG% of the losing team in a game. It makes the game more challenging as the scores remain close. Though it could be unrealistic/annoying as the losing team could be willing to hit most of its shots

in live 2000...if the CPU assist is on...the computer gets in close games with you, then beats you into a field goal fest in the final 2 minutes of the game........
if it's off.......you can get away with a 60+ points lead against the Computer.... that's how far fetch the ON/OFF are

 It's true, though. The difference is amazing. With CPU assist ON, you're in for a real battle for the entire game. That's my favorite way to play. But it's not very realistic because unless it's YOU getting creamed  , nobody ever loses by more than 10 points.

Without it on, though, it can get downright ugly and very lopsided...

my biggest win in record is a 167-43 in a 10 minute per quarter game.
it started as a 30 point lead in half time 46-16.....then i get all evil and stuff and do a hell of an offensive rampage in the second half.....maybe i was bored in executing plays..i hust ran all accross the floor dunking and hitting threes...
all in all 2000 is a great game.the AI yes has many flaws...but a great game still. (Y)

 What team were you??? That's impressive- my biggest win was by like 40 points. I did have one game, though, where I was the Warriors and decided to shoot with Jason Richardson every time. No joke- I scored 90 POINTS with him alone :!: He was soooo hot, everything was going in, it was incredible.

My previous best games were with Tracy McGrady and Michael Jordan- I scored over 50 points with each of them, in different games, of course!

:applaud: that's very impressive- were you on superstar difficulty level? What team were you? You must have played some great defense to hold them to 26 points...

well, it's was with Sacramento (without any patche, and the season 2006/07 more or less). i have 10 players, and yes, my defense is very hard, i steal very balls normally. i played in superstar's mode, but cpu assist off. now, i play with cpu assist on and my players fail more shots,

OK, that makes sense. The Kings are one of the best scoring teams in the league. You musta hit 15 threes with Peja Stojakovic and Mike Bibby, if you still had them.

Cool story, enhermo. (Y)

first of all, sorry for my english :). Well, in nba2000, j.williams was in sacramento, biby in vancouver. peja was bad. With cpu assist, i fail more more more (much?, very?...:$)shots, more tray?, more.. dunks?.more shots in general, but well, i dont' win 100-40.. jeje, i win 80-65....

In my team, now i have wally scerbiak.., tim duncan, jelany mcoy and jeff foster.... the others are new.

bullsfan---------> my team was a created one.....i called it the manila BANGERS :cheeky:
anyways i opted to have a fantasy draft in that franchise and i ended up with a team of
T.duncan
C.webber
D.nowitzki
T.mac
S.francis

B.davis
d.mutombo

i forgot my other lineup........but what i did was use full court advantage and steal the ball......stevie was great at stealing that year.......it was the 3rd season of my franchise and guess what......i never uploaded any rosters....i just used the default roster in 2000......goes to show that the AI in that game is not very competetive, but i like it still just the same.

actually it was the default rosters.......tmac and dirk were not yet pretty good back then....i think they are both rated in the 68-70 level.......they are pretty just a basic roster players but my frontline is very hot...........as well as my point guards....imagine i signed b.davis in the free agents.......since no team wanted him after 2 years in the offseason..........the irony
