Need advice on Created player Cyberface importing

I've been playing NBA Live 2000 for forever and I'm thinking about help keep this thing alive by working on some patches myself. I am about through updating one of Alex's rosters as of today (only need) to add a few more rookie ratings but I was wondering how exactly I can make my own cyberface work in the game without crashing.
There are a lot of tutorials on how to make them.. I don't really need that since I have no trouble putting new faces on players already in the game.. but say I want to make a Shaun Livingston face.. I create him in the game, I use a general .fsh file which is the technique I use to create art, and import all of Shaun's features and then I import the .fsh into three places (small/medium/large) texture.
I have made absolutely sure that I have closed him off as a created player when I am done. And even went as far to rename the .fsh file 0shlivin.fsh outside the game and inside a DBF editor...yet when I go in the game it crashes.
I need help or a step by step tutorial on this because I am totally stuck now..

Alright in the meantime just a small update on how I am coming a long.
I have the game updated pretty much 85% as of now. I still need to put in the second round Draft picks but the first round is complete with what I think their ratings are based on what NBA.com gave their ballplaying strenghts to be. A lot of the 1st Round picks average between 68 - 75. I'
ll try to get the 2nd round players in around 62 - 70, However as this is just a base roster, I wanted to get them in the game first so I'll probably revise a few ratings afterwards.
Rookie #'s are guesses as of now, We'll have to wait for finalized rosters for the jersey #.
I am also working on Charlotte and attempting to get them playable in franchise. I have their roster, but I'm figuring out a method using the database to get their "duplicate" out of free agency. (Might try sending the duplicate to a legends team).
Most of the transactions are done, I got the Corliss Williamson for D.C. and Amal trade in just yesterday, but I haven't done the Laker trade that went down with Boston yet.. will probably do that tonight.. a lot of rosters can't be 100% yet though just because the offseason is still going on, so I'll probably keep working on these till College becomes too much of a hassle.
My goal would be for the original topic is to get the top 15 players with cyberfaces. Any more beyond that would be some good tides going this way for the game.
