if any of you guys have a request for a legend or old school player i can do my best to find pictures to make them...i have way too much time on my hands this weekend...4 day weekend for me so yea...

and also: i feel really bad not crediting majorpain and idiot for the jersey textures up there....they made them!! the patch wouldnt look so good (like a lot of them ive made) without the textures!!!

dont worry though ill put the jersey textures on all of my old patches and resend them to alex hopefully with new previews as well....

does anyone like these patches??? these are the best ones ive created so far and no one has commented on them!! :( :( :( quite distressing folks!!!

I always love your work :D  :P , Matt, but, personally, i can't judge the work of the others because, sometimes, the previews are weird and i could be unfair or arrogant.
Post the face's previews using medium/high detail texture, it's better.

C'mon, man, your work with the legends is incredible! :P :P

thanks man!! i always love your work too!! especially that maggette you made    wowow that was perfect!!

but about the high detail screenshots...it wont work....for some reason, when i take a screen shot it shrinks the picture vertically to where its about half the height of my screen....so then i have to go to paint and stretch it out....i dunno how to fix this...any help for this problem guys?? thanks!!

i just cut them up so they are the right size for live 2000
they are majorpain and ea's ~~

anyways.... love your julius erving!! (y) (y)!!

ps.... i think your jerseys/screenshots are too dark to see the textures...
so i cant really tell if you've used the texture or not :?

Matt, do you use software renderer mode to play Live 2000? :?
Difference between software renderer and 3D video cards with Medium/High details is huge :? .

Great work!

guys!! i already explained this    i go to replay and click screenshot...thats what i do...the player detail is on high, but the screen shots comes out vertically shrunk to where its about half the height of my screen...the point of my previews arent the quality of the screen, but how the players look...you can still tell pretty well i think....maybe if i can send my patches to someone and they can take the screens...i dunno....but im doing the best i can, but for some reason the ingame screenshot taker shrinks the screens...

and by the way....i paste the jersey textures on to my final result and then i fix the raster layer...i use jasc paintshop pro if youre wondering...

also id love to release the dr. j patch, but its completely up to alex of when he releases them....i uploaded a lot of patches into the briefcase, so im just waiting for him

sorry i didnt read  .... i could help you take a couple of screens if you want.... when i finished my hwork :P

i've used psp only once or twice so im not too sure about this.... but the way the texture turned out seems pretty weird.....

my method of applying the textures in photoshop is either "multiply" the texture layer onto the jersey, or just change the hue of the textures to give it colour, then add trims, logos etc... and then either brighten up the texture layer or the jersey itself to increase the contrast

from the screenshot it looks like the textures didnt do much, and some of the jerseys are too dark, even though the details of the jersey itself is excellent......

on the shorts.... the texture looks really weird!!

i can take a look at it if you want (y)

 Nice cyberpatches Matt! (Y) I just hope that someone would also be kind enough to make a realistic and actual logos, courts, and the jerseys (not an individual jersey, but for the whole team-era) they wore during their respective era / decades... EA Sports :? made a generic court, jerseys and logos for the Legend's All-Star Teams. (50's, 60's, 70's, 80's & 90's All-Stars.) Will anyone care to update them? :?: (not just the players but the environment as well...it adds realism to the game. It makes you feel that you just traveled back in time. That would be nice...)

well patrixxx73....taking your requests into consideration....ive been able to get bb14 to help me out with the creation of some retro courts....they are not released yet though (its up to alex....his schedule is super busy all the time :( )

some courts that have been created are:

The Great Western Forum* (Lakers)
 Complete with correct dorna ads
 has correct bench seating
 has Pat Riley's face for coach
 Correct arena ads

The Omni** (Hawks)

The Summit* (Rockets)
 Complete with correct dorna ads (you know its retro when it has a Winston cigarette ad  )
 Correct arena ads

Boston Garden* (Celtics)
 Correct Dorna ads
 Correct arena ads

The Meadowlands** (Nets)

Buffalo Memorial Coliseum** (Buffalo Braves)

San Diego Sports Arena** (San Diego Clippers)

The Spectrum* (Sixers)
 Correct Dorna ads
 Correct arena ads
 Billy Cunningham as coach
 Wilt Chamberlain and Hal Greer Retired number banners (credits to Jens Braband)

Kingdome** (Sonics)

I also have sent some courts that have been made that aren't exactly retro, but they aren't current. Credits were given where due on:

Charlotte Coliseum (Charlotte Hornets by Jens Braband)
Reunion Arena (90s Dallas Mavericks by Jens Braband)
Alamodome (90s San Antonio Spurs by Jens Braband)
America West Arena (90s Phoenix Suns by Jens Braband)
Key Arena (90s Seattle Supersonics by Jens Braband)

Also there are some that ARE retro that have been sent to Alex that are made by others:

Pontiac Silverdome (Detroit Pistons by Matthew Chakko)
The Palace of Auburn Hills (80s Detroit Pistons by Matthew Chakko)

Along with all of these there are also more courts in the works:

Richfield Coliseum* (Cleveland Cavaliers)

McNichols Arena* (Denver Nuggets)

Veterans' Memorial Coliseum* (70s Phoenix Suns)

The Mecca* (60s and 70s Milwaukee Bucks)

Bradley Center* (80s and 90s Milwaukee Bucks)

Madison Square Garden* (60s New York Knicks)

Madison Square Garden* (Late 70s//80s New York Knicks)

Arco Arena* (Early 90s Sacramento Kings)

Memorial Coliseum* (Portland Trailblazers)

Target Center* (Early 90s Minnesota Timberwolves)

Salt Palace* (80s Utah Jazz)

Capital Centre* (60s//70s Washington Bullets)

*Bin files made by bb14...thank him men!
**Entire court made by bb14

I will also try to make jerseys with the ones ive created...ive mostly created away jerseys though so the home ones will have to be postponed....currently working on Cleveland Cavaliers (days of Brad Daugherty, Craig Ehlo, "Hot Rod" Williams, and Mark Price)

well guys tell me what you think!!!

Keep up the good work guys. Thats sounds like great work. If I can think of anything retro that is missing I'll let you know. Mabey somewhere down the line you create an nba finals pack so we can play ins ome of the old finals. Bulls vs Phoenix... Bulls vs... Lakers Bulls... Bulls... and more BUlls..

Once again, its time for more previews!!

Only 2 for the time being, but I think they're pretty good!

First up we have Bob Pettit:

Image

This comes with authentic 50s Chuck Taylor Converse (by Gene, updated by me), authentic Atlanta Hawks jersey//shorts from the 1950s and realistic body hair (this was guy was a sasquatch!).

next we have Walt Bellamy:

Image

This comes with authentic 60s Chuck Taylor Converse (by Gene, updated by me), authentic Baltimore Bullets jersey//shorts and realistic neck features and beard.

Here's an action shot where Pettit posterizes Bellamy:

Image

If there's interest I can send them to Alex for uploading!

tell me what you think! comments are welcome and wanted!
