Is it possible to replace player portraits on NBA Live 2000?

I wonder, is it actually possible to replace player portrait on the PC version of NBA Live 2000 with the editing tools for the game? I wanna replace some, like replace Jim Jackson's 1997 NBA Media Day pic on the Philadelphia 76ers and replace it with his angry looking NBA Media Day 2004 pic on the Houston Rockets, I would also like to add portraits for Jason Terry, Shawn Marion, Metta World Peace (Ron Artest), replace some of the portraits with fictional characters, etc., I understand that I would have to do this in a virtual machine though if it's possible, When I installed the Steve Francis cyberface patch (It's on here but forgot who made it), not only was his head replaced but a picture of him was added as his portrait as well, which was a picture of him in college, I wonder if this is possible.

Advice would be excellent.

UPDATE: I got the portrait imported but the game crashes when I select the player with the new portrait when in the View Player screen, I followed the steps in the cyberface tutorial for NBA Live 2000 but what did I do wrong?
