NBA Live 98 and Fraps.

For some reason, Fraps (the screenshotting program) won't work with NBA Live 98. Anyone have any idea why?

Edit: 98, not 08. I'm a retard.

That was my only guess, but the program is for Windows 95/98.. I'm running it in the correct compatibility mode and everything. Kinda frustrating :-P

Doesn't work with 99 either.

Why should it be in a compatability mode if your OS is the same as Fraps?

If your OS is Windows 95/98, running Fraps built for Win95/98 is no problem.
If your OS is WinXP, running Fraps built for Win95/98 is a problem even if NBA Live98 is running in compatibility mode.

The last time I checked Fraps only works with WinXP now. The last version suited for Win95/98 is Fraps 1.9d
I could send you the file if you're interested.

Running NBA Live 98 in the correct compatibility mode is what I meant, shadowgrin. The game was made for win 98 ;)

Maybe it doesn't use 3d acceleration. Maybe the game runs at 4000 fps and fraps craps on itself. Have you tried gamecam or an older version of fraps? I mean really older.

If you have an ATI video card, you can always use ATI Tray Tools to take screenshots.
