--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

All I can say is please take into consideration the strengths and weaknesses in game play that Live 2000 has. When I created the National team’s roster, I concentrated on a few of these things.

Here is some of the criteria I used when working on the ratings. I use the toolkit, but i know the toolkit re-calculates the numbers, so the numbers I use here are the numbers before the re-calculation.

1) Primacy for inside players, (Centers and PF) should be the highest
on the team. The big men don't get enough touches, and when
simming a season their ppg are too low

2) Blocks way, way down between 1-54, with 54 the best.

3) Inside shooting much, much higher. 65-99

4) Steals higher.........

5) Free throw shooting as low as you can go with some players. Even the better players, don't exceed say 35-40.

6) Fg pct. Higher than usual

7) Speed and especially acceleration for bigger men, a lot lower than guards, so there can be some form of a fast break.

8) Remember for dribbling and dunking there is a cut-off rating, where they will be able to perform these moves or not. Lower than this number they will not be able to spin or dunk. I think dribbling is at or near 58, for big men don’t go too low on the dribbling because they will turn the ball over too much in the low post.

Alex, Ohhh yeah this a big one! save back-ups of the roster as you go along. After each team or every couple teams, because the database is very fragile.
There are times that you will enter information and after that, the game will just crash for no reason and you will not be able to fix it. I think it just mis-calculates info somewhere and you will have no idea what went wrong. Then you will have to revert back to the last backup.

This happened a couple of times, and then i went back and put the same exact info back into the last save and would work.

If you need any help, just E-mail me

Alex, I know you will. :wink:

Alex do you have the Scoring Area breakdown sheet that was on the old forum? If not i will E-mail it to you, it is very helpful.

Another thing i forgot, was the defense awareness should be no lower that about 46. 46-90 would be a good level. This should help lower that up fake bug that live 2000 has. I can't stand it when you up fake and they always jump.

i don't have the scoring area breakdown so i'd be glad to receive it :) thanks dirtdog1 for your help

that's also noted for the defensive awarness, i like too when the CPU plays a good defense

4 = (PF/C) W. Perdue, A. Foyle, C. Dudley, J. Feick (inside scrub scorers?!)
5 = (PF/C) S. Perkins, B. Wennington, T. Mills (big men w/some outside stroke)
