Scoring percentage

Fri Feb 14, 2003 3:38 am

Hi
1.
I've started my first season(Kings,Simulation,Superstar)and I have some
problems.
My scoring percentage is really bad. With the starters I hardly tie the game, but with the benchplayers I am sinking.Believe me I tried everything.Playing one on one, trying to figure out where the scorearea is, changed tactics and so on..
Sometimes the players score ,sometimes not (same position). When the dribbling ability is low(or the defence good),then the fakes are useless.Maybe I am making fatal mistakes. Can anyone tell me some tricks?
2.
Is it possible to win a game or franchise if you take the Bulls?
(simulation,superstar)?

thank you

Do you have shot control set to CPU or Player? On Player, the chances of the shot being good mainly depend on when you release the shoot button. On CPU, the player's ratings determine the chances of the shot being good.

Perhaps you would be better off with some new bench players. Have you considered trading for players who better fit into your style of play?

Yes, you can win with the Bulls, but your skill must overcome their roster and the strength of your opponents.

Dear Andrew,thank you for replying.
The shot control was already set on "user".I don't think that someone can win with the Bulls against the Lakers, because the player abilties are low and the playing ability of the user is ,because of that, limited.Maybe I am wrong.I played an exhibition game against the Lakers and I am totally pis*ed off! (46:98)with scoring percentage(23%:38%) and 27 steals for L.A.
The game uses to get boring.
Every bad NBA player should score a minimum of 50% when his all alone.
When I am trying to get close to the post I am loosing the ball everytime. And I miss 80% of all the shots from outside the post.

Superstar can be unrealistic at times. Try playing on All-Star difficulty, and working your way up to Superstar. Once you start blowing teams out on All-Star, you're ready to play Superstar.

it's easy to win with the bulls. I have won with the cavs once. Than one of my players retired and i was even worse, than i quit it. The skill of the team, doesn't usually matter unless you are really bad. Cause i always pick lottery teams when i start a franchise. And i usually only play like 5,6 seasons cause it gets boring. but i get a good 2 or 3 titles in those years
