When I finish a franchise game I go to Windows, why?

Hey, I play NBA Live 2000 on Windows XP. I'm playing in a franchise, and when I finish a game and go to the franchise screen I suddenly find myself in Windows instead of the franchise screen and NBA Live is on the taskbar and I try to maximise it but it just goes to a black screen when I do that. So I can't return to NBA Live and therefore I can't save that game that I just played in my franchise.

Has anyone had this problem and/or know of a solution? Thanks

what patchs did you install?

Yep I installed the latest 05-06 Roster.

Does the game crash even with the original rosters?

Not sure, haven't tried that yet. I played with original rosters in the past with no problem but that was with a different windows, not XP.
