Talk about NBA Live 95-2002 here.

I know some of you are thinking why NBA Live 2000 doesn't work in Windows 98. Well I haven't really found out why. My uncle got me a brand new computer for Christmas and it ran fine until I had problems. It was a dual operating system. Windows 98 and Windows XP are installed on the computer. He had to take the computer back and fix problems with XP and DirectX. When I got it back then it went downhill. When I started downloaded all the jersey pathcs and Court Patches,Etc is when it started crashing. I do have top of the line video card and computer system. So maybe the game can't run properly with a up to date computer. NBA live 2000 will crash and close the whole game with no error message. Sometimes the sound will stubble or crack. Every now and then it will minimize the game and come up with a blue screen that says ''Windows Virtual Memory too low, Norton Antivirsus may not function properly''. Then I click continue back to game and the colors in th game are wacky. One more thing sometimes in the middle of playing the game the mouse icon will appear and beep the windows sound thing will go off and the game is frozen and stuck. Can't even restart my computer.
I hope you guys can help. I really do think it's my computer is too new for the game. Other games in 98 run fine but Live 2000 does'nt?

Not to be dour, fellas, and I hate to say this . . . but I'm starting to believe that it might be time to give up on Live 2000. Blasphemy, heresy, I know . . . but these problems are a bit much. I'm either going to give up on the game or purchase a computer with Windows 95 or 98 operating system and graphics and sound cards that were top notch as of the turn of the century. "Going retro" seems to be the only meaningful solutions to these problems with 2000's interface with newer technology. Hmmmmm . . .

Thats what am doing!

When I reinstall Windows 98 it should fix the probelm. HDD Format is Fat32 so it should work in 98. Since I have a dual operating system 98 and XP! XP has NTFS Format of HDD.

Good thought. I'm thinking of trying to pickup a rehabbed laptop with Windows 98 and a Vodoo graphics card . . . maybe through Dell or Gateway . . . does Gateway still exist? Damn . . . I'm old.
My 2000 stopped working in Winndows ME after three great years. I temporarily installed the game on another cpu with XP, only to find some graphics corrupted and such. Sad.
Keep us posted on your progress with Live 2000 & MS Inc. 98. Thanks.

Neither have I. No operating system problems, at least.

Wow, well the reason why probably is because I got a brand new computer with duel opertaing systems. So it may be conflicting with something. So far all I know is that it has a probelm with DirectX.
