Uniform creation help

I am trying to create 1985 uniforms for NBA Live 2000 (Sorry I'm in the wrong forum, but I thought more people would see it here).
Everything seemingly goes OK when I create a uniform in EAGE (using instructions from the tutorial here), but the game crashes when I try to use them (with the exception of Atlanta's uni's which don't crash) in NBA Live 2000 itself.
Can someone help me out on why this could be happening and how I can remedy it? I'd hate to play the 1985 season with purple Bucks uniforms (or blue Rockets, or black 76ers, etc.).
