Is there a way to get a roster update if u use an emulator to play the game?

i'm pretty dang sure that emulated games are included in the 'no pirated game discussion' rule on this forum.

stupid question, but if i own Live 98 on PC, is it legal to play the emulated snes version?

i wouldn't think so- because if you wanted both in real life, you would have to buy both
