Had some major issues with very frequent occuring blue screens on my old game PC with ATI Radeon 9200 SE.
But I think it is working now.
1) Inactivated the 2nd screen driver.
2) Removed the ATI screen utility tool from the tray.
3) Most important changed the 'Tul Corpotation Radeon' Driver to 'ATI RADEON 9200 series' by manually changing
it, dont let XP self pick the driver. The driver called Tul Corp Radeon driver was originally installed by
the shop that I bought the PC from and the PC have from time to generated blue screen and frooze the
screen. But now when I installed a NBA 2000 live game on it it really showed what crappy coding it was.
The Blue screen error changed from time to time pointing out everything from ati dll to irql_less_or_equal when
it actually was a really bad coded driver. So dont change your power supplies, RAM's, motherboard, graphic
cards before replacing the driver if you run into these kind of problems. Think the ATI Radeon graphic cards
has got really a bad rep due to bad coded drivers, but the cards in themself do not deserve.
The new driver sometimes loose contact and screen goes all black, but then I just restart the program and
it work again for a long time.
Still the game terminated on cant find chant 29 once more, but I can live with that.
