[Solved]NBA Live 2000 doesn't work with Windows XP

Hi experts,
I've installed NBA Live 2000 on WinXP SP2 but it doesn't run. I get this error:

Unhandled Exception 0xC0000005 occurred at address 0x6000C328

Stack Trace Unavailable

Do you wish to save a dump file for this crash?

I've saved the dump file and uploaded it here.
Can you tell me what is wrong and what is needed to fix this problem?

yes. same result. tried compat mode of the nbawin.exe to win2000.

win2000? Try the 98/95 option

same result. i've tried changing compatibility mode for setup.exe on the CD too, but get the same result.
Honestly, I've never seen the "Compatibility" thingy work for any game on XP ever.

What else can you suggest I try?

Which settings are using with the 3D Setup option? I believe setting it to Software Renderer can help in getting the game to run under XP.

i was using the direct3d option. if i change it to software renderer, the game starts up all right but it is extremely slow and unplayable even on lowest graphics options.
