created players not working

whenever i try to create a new player, the game crashes to my desktop. this means i cant create new players ( i can edit players) and can not do a franchise (crashes when it trys to generate new rookies). has neone had this problem or has ne idea on how to fix it. i am a great fan of franchise mode, and would love to be able to use it again
