nba live 2000 patching contest

i was thinking about hosting a patching contest on my own site/forums and i want to ask you, the patchers and the people that play nba live 2000 if this is a good idea. the prize is undecided(not going to be nba live 2004 because it might make you leave 2000).
any suggestions? comments?

No problem with me. I fall in love with this game, i love his graphics, his gameplay, his legs, his eyes, his lips...

Like Unoquepasa said, it would be a good idea if there were more people. Plus were like family around here, and sibling rivalry wouldn't be good................. But then again it might not be so bad if the contest was for some form of complete patch? (Meaning: not just a single face or single jersey much more)............ it could end up producing something special for Live 2000?

Plus, I already have Live 2004 and it hasn't pushed me away from my one and only true love. :lol:

i hope that a contest would bring out the best in every patcher so there would be good, complete, patches for the whole community. with complete patches, the nba live 2000 community would benefit from that by having more new patches. i might not make a prize so that would get rid of jeaslousy but not having a prize might eliminate interest. im not too sure about the whole prize idea but would you still be interested in a contest w/o a prize?

Yes, I wholeheartedly agree! :wink:

Perhaps a unique major patch that would greatly improve the game! For example: A major patch that would convert the animated crowd on the background to a more realistic one... or perhaps a patch that would change the repetitive broadcaster's announcements to a real, situational response to the game announcements with real/actual broadcaster's voices... or a patch that would change the artificial intelligence of the computer players (ala NBA Live 2004? :shock:

)... a single full total compilation of all major patches made in NBA Live 2000 like: all cyberfaces, rosters, teams, jerseys, courts, shoes, even Mods (if possible, like a slam dunk competition or an All-Star 3 on 3 game.) etc... and many more! I don't know if some of my wild patching ideas are possible, but who knows? (maybe? :roll:

Yes!

Likewise... Although NBA Live 2004 has a very realistic gameplays and individual 10-man movements (thanks to it's reality sliders) I still love the realistic, yet simple plays of NBA Live 2000! :wink:

The problem is this kind of things are hard coded. EA Sports shall give us the source of the game if we want to program things like that. All the more as I don't know anyone around who has the skills to program things like that ? But if it could be true, that would be so sweeeet

Indeed, we can only patchs graphics for this game, and tweak a little the gameplay with adjusted ratings.
