Twitch stream summary 15/09/15

Wed Sep 16, 2015 6:54 pm

  • There are still unannounced details about 2K16 including Mypark and unannounced feature/mode (will be announced next week). They really tried to sell this feature, so it's probably going to be significant.
  • They got to 30 final casting call submissions and Spike narrowed it down to 5. Winner will be scanned into the game and will be in MyCareer on release.
  • The Livin' Da Dream trailer showed just a little bit of story. There will be many, many choices in the game mode including those regarding your significant others (wasn't girlfriend requested feature? :D), friends, family and agent. They did not say how they will affect your story.
  • Off-days recap.
  • MyPlayer balancing - 7 foot SFs are gone. More on that later.
  • Players will pay for mistakes. 2K will be more sim. No more god-like players.
  • You can no longer have team full of once-in-a-generation players.
  • You won't feel like locked into animations anymore.
  • MyNBA2K16 (mobile app) new 16/09/15. Hopefully face scan to match Live?
  • Next broadcast will be on Wednesday, not Tuesday - more MyCourt and MyPark details.
  • More MyCareer news this week. HS + College info and some MyCourt.

MyPlayer creation balancing
  • 3 scoring styles - Inside, ouside, balanced - will determine rating caps. Height and other body attributes like wingspan will have true effect.
  • All positions now have height cap.
  • Height restrictions:
    • PG 5'7" - 6'7"
    • SG 5'10" - 6'8"
    • SF 6'3" - 6'10"
    • PF 6'5" - 7'
    • C 6'8" - 7'3"
  • Taller players will have their own advantages and disadvantages.

Excellent news, all around. The different choices are welcome news (though the ability to skip it entirely would still be nice), so I guess it remains to be seen how much I like the overall narrative, and the characters.
