#WINNING (Trailer!)

Wow.

It's a nice trailer, the game is looking great as I knew it would, but...I don't know, I'm not really any more hyped about playing NBA 2K16 than I was before I saw the trailer. To be honest, I was more interested to hear about the work that's gone into MyLEAGUE and MyGM this year.

I think it's probably because we've been a bit spoiled by some awesome NBA 2K trailers in the past, we're at a point where the year-to-year improvements in the visuals aren't going to be huge leaps every time, and generally speaking, I'm quite happy with the aesthetics of NBA 2K. Again, the trailer demonstrated what I expected: the game looks great.

I'm also more concerned about how it feels - getting stuck in animations and whatnot - and glancing at the advanced controls that were posted over at Operation Sports, I'm not sure that I like some of the changes that were made this year.

Still, it's a cool trailer, as we've come to expect.

The MyCareer asthetics look way better.

I completely agree with Andrew.
I'm not impressed by trailers anymore. Even movie trailers, you can get any terrible movie and make it look 10 times better than it actually is, through the magic of editing and soundtrack.

(Side note: the #WINNING song is pretty awful).

The graphics do look amazing, but that's never been a problem with 2K. What I really wanna see is if we still have the problem of, as Andrew put it, "getting stuck in animations and whatnot". That was the main problem that took the fun out of the 2k15 gameplay and drove me away from the game.
I want to watch an uncut gameplay video first, so I can draw my own conclusions and then read change logs and watch over-hyped trailers.

Here are my Pro's and Con's:

Pros:

#1 Body Scans - There isn't much I can say about the body scans... I mean they look almost life like. Especially for players like LeBron who badly needed one!



#2 Jerseys Models - They look a lot tighter this year which is something that was needed for some time. For example this screen of Anthony Davis, you can see the the elastic part of his shorts which couldn't have been seen in NBA 2K15 due to the jerseys being too baggy.



#3 MyCareer - It's looking like MyCareer is going to be a lot more story driven this year with a sneak peak at the end of the trailer showing off when you select a college for your MyPlayer. It involves what looks like your family and even a girlfriend/sister "with a hilarious derp face by the way " It looks great and I can't wait to get my hands on it!



Cons:

#1 Jersey Textures - Once again for like the tenth year in the row the jerseys are looking copy/pasted from the previous games. For example the font for the Pacers Jersey on the front is too small and doesn't fit the jersey. It also looks like they didn't bother and fix the Pacers Strip down the side which on the left picture doesn't go all the way to the arm hole, but on the right picture it does as shown from the RED circle.




Here's another example of how the strip down the side of the jersey doesn't go all the way up to the arm hole. Here is Nick Young wearing an away Lakers jersey with a strip going down the side not going all the way up to the armhole as pointed out by the RED arrow.



And what's annoying is that other jerseys DO have their strip going all the way up to the armhole. For example Rudy Gay has his Kings Jersey reaching to the armhole as pointed out by the RED arrow. So it looks like it just comes down plain laziness really



Conclusion:

It could just be that this is a very early build of the game and that they still have to fix some of the cons but I mean they really should have been fixed years ago! I hope Leftos or someone can see this and relay it on to other 2K developers.

A little bit worried about some hairstyles and shades ( Korver looks to blonde, same does Nowitzki, Kevin Love still has that messy look from 2 seasons ago it seems )

Mouthpiece thing - it looks good, but I don't think every player will be having that animation

Photobombs during interviews - OMG, this is something that looks fresh, I am actually looking forward to those scenes.

New facial expressions - Yup, I think they nailed it here. Harden's expression when he gets the winning shot, that badass look on Rose's face... Emotion adds a lot to the feeling.

And even then, there's only so much that you can glean from raw gameplay footage. Only hands-on impressions - either your own, or someone else's - are going to reveal the answers you're after.

For me it's all about gameplay! this trailer though nice, is basically a collection of cut scenes...and the first thing I do is select my cut scenes to "never". Still, I'll buy the game and hope for the best

So what Colleges are they gonna have??? Any inside scoop?
