What needs to change in order for you to purchase NBA 2K16?

Mon Nov 24, 2014 5:05 am

For me? These things:

1. NBA: Creating a Legend mode has to return
2. Add in all US developmental leagues and the leagues of all around the world
3. Creating a Foreign Legend needs to come where you can choose anyone from Europe, South America, Asia, Oceania and Africa
4. Creating a Developmental League Legend needs to come where you can choose any developmental leaguers in the USA
5. In Creating a Foreign Legend/Creating a Developmental League Legend, you can go through how many seasons you want in any league your player is in and then, if you wish, go to the NBA draft.

So you're saying that unless all 5 of these things are implemented, you unequivocally will not buy NBA2K16? Because I find it to be incredibly unlikely (that those things make it to 2K16). Or is this more of something that belongs on a 2K16 Wish List?

All of these demands seem rather silly.

So this is a joke thread?

An April Fool's joke, in November?

Has to be.

Create a legend mode is a legit one though.

to be honest, i suspect a lot of our complaints here (mine is on association, and ive been ranting about it few times already i.e. saving multiple copies of association and bringing back 3 way trades) are done on purpose by 2k so that they can bring this back in 2k16 and we will buy 2k16

I respectfully disagree.

Granted I haven't played 2k15 on 360/PS3, but 3 way trades were part of old code from old-gen 2K... If I recall when 2K went from 2k5 to 2K6 on the 360 (I stood in line all night to get my 360 and 2k6), there was a loss of features from old gen to new gen. The same here. Not to mention the new iteration of "association" is a different beast... therefor I can understand why some features we loved are not there and why they may have to take a backseat til next years version.

We could all complain and moan about what is not there, but I am too busy playing what IS there to be too concerned.

Is 3 way trades nice to have -- of course. Does it break the game because it is not there... HECK NO.

2K15 is solid... and while I cannot wait to see what is implemented next year, I am in no rush as I am enjoying the hell out of 2k15.

I like NBA 2k since the first edition I was playing it (2k14).
So even I'm most likely still gonna buy the 2k16, below wishes aint gonna hurt if these are possible to be implemented:

1. Trading mechanism in MyLeague or MyGM
a. as some senior members mentioned earlier, a 3 way or even more team involved in trading, this is essential (at least for me) in enhancing my experience playing a role as GM
b. able to involve more than 4 players/picks, as I feel some blockbuster trade needs more than 4 players/picks to be triggered
c. protected draft pick in trading, I don't know if this is hard to be implemented, but surely a protected draft pick will enhance a more realistic experience as GM
d. sign-and-trade, well, maybe this is difficult, but as a suggestions, why not?

2. Gameplay, team, roster
a. if possible, some selected national team is included in the team, and if even more possible, customizing the roster of the national team
b. D-League team roster
c. bring back the create a team options, along with the option to create the jersey, logo, etc.
d. bring back Headband and tattoos option in create a player

I don't know how feasible my wishes are, but I hope 2K sports will consider these anytime in future.

cheers :D :D

I think that most of these things would be fairly "simple" to implement for player, but hard to implement for AI - so that AI uses them and there is some logic behind it. Remember that it's not just human players using the features.

I believe first two might be more dependent on licencing than anything else.
I think I remember Leftos saying something about working on CaT (or maybe it was something different, but this sounds familiar) and not wanting to "half-ass" it. I think we can expect this in 2K16.
I personally think that CaP mode should get reworked, but I don't know how realistic are my ideas :D

Oh so many things, from really small, to really big things. I will wait with list until wishlist thread for 2k16. My steam inform me that i played 2k15 on October 29 :? so for now its not what im looking for.

I asked him if CAT was in the game pre-launch, and he mentioned that it wasn't in, but it was something he wanted. I imagine he wants it in for MyLEAGUE (which would be awesome).

less VC bull, let us add accessories to our mycareer players without having to buy it and constantly be online, i cant help it that 2k servers require 100gb/s connections to work sadly those of us with avg int speeds cant connect and miss out on alot of features that are simply basic and its simply pathetic that they are require an internet connection, i understand piracy but seriously an ankle brace is not going to affect piracy, what it will do is piss people off

yeah I realised how it might be complicated for the AI, but perhaps a slider on how often the frequency an AI to do such complicated trade might be possible. I don't know though, I'm just saying, easier than do :D :D

Oh yes thanks for bring out the licensing, that might be the issue, perhaps. but since D-League is NBA associated, maybe it's easier??

I totally agree sirs.  CaT on MyLeague is totally awesome, something like "MyFranchise"

Local saves, no server always online bs. (coincidently my connection to the 2k servers -and only to them- just crashed; interesting what my latest save and vc is gonna be)

other than that, i mostly have mixed feelings about the gameplay itself, but the points havent changed in years, and it could get repetitive after a while.

While I agree that always-online isn't the answer, if they want you to not be able to hack VC, I don't know what the answer is.

Re: What needs to change in order for you to purchase NBA 2K16?

Im getting the VC Hack thing. Im not playing online at all. If I hack VC, Im only destroying my fun. But i guess pretty much everyone buys it for online play too. Im probably not your average customer and you cant make everyone happy.

It isn't. It's just to see people express opinions. Not to save money, but to see if they want NBA 2K16.

Work on Cpu offense. CPU holds ball till last few seconds way to often.

Give both Cpu and user same animations. CPU putbacks are instant and user gets 5second animation.

Input lag aka momentum needs tweaks
