Can someone create a D Rose CF, that is accurate with short hair? I found one with short hair, but it's too complicated to install. Just looking for one that you just drop into the modded folder, and be done with it. Appreciate if someone could do this.

You're talking about mine, and that's the only way to do it. I didn't do it to intentionally be complicated.There's literally no other way to install any Derrick Rose face.

For some reason when it I open the editor it's in chinese, any way to translate it?

No you can't translate it. The images that I supplied on the tutorial were edited through gimp.

What is gimp? She that's what I'm saying, I know it's not your fault, that this is the only way to get his face in the game, but why is Rose's face the only one that it's required for? I know my way around the computer a bit, but editing isn't my forte. What happens after you install gimp?

GIMP is a free alternative to Photoshop. You don't need to use it, PeacemanNOT used it to create the images for the tutorial.

One of the other guys can certainly correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the facemask update that was pushed through for Derrick Rose is ultimately responsible for the inability to use the modded folder method for any community-made face updates.

Not face mask, but they put in what was his new hair at the time, which is why he is only editable with the trainer. The face mask was an accessory.

So from what it sounds, looks like I'm stuck with the default high-top hair style that he no longer wears, unless I master Limnono's modifier? So be it I guess.

I can't get started. I open it up, it's in chinese, then what is the tbb.dll file for?

Have you read through all of my tutorial, and I mean ALL? You do know there are things you need to do to get it to work? For example you need to press the HOME key on your keyboard while the game is open to activate the tool.

Ignore the dll file, the tool is the only thing you need to worry about. The tool can't be translated (it will always be in chinese), that is why I supplied images on my tutorial to what the chinese text translates into.

I did everything you said, and it still not showing up. put id 2666 in TBM's CF of Rose. I used the euro player you suggested, changed Rose id from 1507 to 2666 on the modifier, refreshed the roster, saved changes, exited the roster, re-loaded it. went back to view the changes, no go. Didn't see a confirm face id button anywhere, don't know what you mean there. Been working on this for 45 mins. Gotta step out for a while, I'll get back to ya.

Confirm Face ID is for MyCareer. That has nothing to do with this.

Okay, I'm going to need reference images to see if you're doing something wrong because it looks like you're doing it right.

Take screenshot of the tool, your modded folder directory etc.

The "confirm face ID button" is when you want to change a face ID for your MyPlayer. Do not use it for changing players in your roster otherwise you will screw the entire roster up and give everyone the same face. There are ways of using the button but it's just safer to do it the way I explained in the tutorial.

Maybe if you just restart the game it will work?

I re-started the game, still didn't show up. I don't know how to take a screenshot, If it's not difficult I can try to take one of the things you need.

Pressing the ALT and PrtScreen buttons on your keyboard at the same time will copy a screenshot to your clipboard. You can then just paste it into Paint or something to save it.

The 5th time was a charm...got it to work finally, only thing is his face shows up on my created roster, not the official 2K sports one that I use to play NBA Today games.. That one shows his default face and hair. I wonder why is that? Anyway thanks for you patience and assistance, PeacemanNot.....

Well that would make sense since you aren't editing the NBA today roster which isn't editable at all. You're editing a created roster like you said which can be used in Quick Game, MyLeague, MyGm etc.

There is a feature on the tool which allows you to use the roster for MyCareer and Blacktop also if you would like to know that I can explain.

I know this is kinda off topic here but I wouldn't start a thread just for this. It is a little bit related to the whole chinese explorer thing.
If you guys use custom rosters for a "Play match" quick game, does your NBA pre-show team talk about the start of the season literally every single time ? Also, the stats presented during the game are from last season.
To keep it short, you can get real stats and pre-game show chat from this season only if you use the default 2K roster.
The little bug occurs for every custom roster I am using, so that means any time I feel like playing with the Bulls and I use the chinese explorer to update Derrick's Rose cyberface with TBM's mod I get this bug.
Just wanted to know this is just me, or anyone is getting it.

It isn't really a bug. I'm pretty sure the game was built to do that anyways. I tested it out with a custom roster and it defaults back to the start of the season pre game show.

Nothing you can do, that's just how it is.
