This is the first of several 2K16 training videos. All feedback, suggestions, etc. are welcome.

Part two will go into the more advanced dribbling controls.

Well-produced, and a good breakdown of the basics!

One suggestion: though you've kind of acknowledged it, NBA 2K's right stick controls change significantly depending on whether you've chosen the Absolute or Screen-Relative option. If the controls are set to Screen-Relative, flicking the right stick towards your left or right hand might actually involving flicking the stick up and down, depending on your player's position on the floor. When they're set to Absolute, which I personally prefer, flicking left is always to the left hand, flicking right is always to the right hand, and so on.

It might be prudent to mention that difference, and perhaps even advise users to set their controller configuration to Absolute, to match up with the directions you're mentioning. Aside from that though, nice job, and thanks for sharing!

That's one thing I had intended to bring up in the video but completely forgot. Initially, I was going to do two separate videos for each control scheme but thought that'd be a little overkill.

I agree, that'd be overkill. A quick explanation and maybe an annotation/recommendation to use the Absolute setting would suffice, I'd say.
