Constant NBA 2K16 PC Crashes

Postby Microjpx on Thu Jan 14, 2016 1:24 am

Hi there,
I've been having this issue for a several months now and still cannot seem to find the source of it.

I have a GTX TITAN X, everything is updated and up the latest firmware and updates. I play the game on max settings and have my fan speed @ 100 so that my temps don't go overboard.

Whenever I try to play MYLeague, my game will either crash before the start of the game (loading with Ernie, Shaq and Kenny) or during the game (halftime or timeouts) These crashes will either freeze my entire computer for like 10mins then crash to desktop or just crash with a black screen.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? I really need a fix and cannot seem to fix it.. if I were to put my fan speed to auto, the gpu temps will get too hot.. to like 80+ degrees. When it's set to 100, 2k goes up to 40-50 max. Funny thing, 2K is the only game that has this issue.. so I am hella confused.

Any help is very much appreciated..

Thanks!

Either play with a hot gpu, or not play at all.

So you're running at constant 100% fan speed? That fan won't last long. Get aftermarket cooler for it.

Anyway, let Steam verify your game's files and limit the fps for the game to 60 or whatever your monitor's native refresh rate is.

This is the only game that I play that has these crashes. I play games that have a stronger demand in power and performance and do not experience this issue.

I have a aftermarket cooler but when I run my card on stock settings, my card gets extremely hot. I have a 144hz GSync monitor. I erased a SweetFX I had and I think that might have fixed the issue. Will report back if it happens again.

Thank you for your constructive criticism. \s

Maybe you could expand on that a little bit, because I don't see differences in gameplay.

You must be crazy, PC is the only way to play. It even looks 1,000 times better.

Given the single post and lack of log-ins since, I'd suggest that was some drive-by trolling.
