i think it works for most players to have their shooting 60-65% inside, 35-45% close, 40-50% mid range and 28-38% for three's for three point shooters. inside needs to include dunks as well so for better dunkers they need to be worse jump shooters unless they have sky high fg%. so a typical centre would miss enough of his close jump shots and inside shots and make a lot of dunks and a typical shooting pg might have average three point percentage and have better mid range and finishing for either a dunk or layup percentage, for his ratings.
so the centre would be 65% inside shots then 40% close shots and 35% mid range to be worse at that and like 3% three pointers for a non three point shooting centre ( thats not twenty though and should probably be fifty) . And the pg should be 55% inside and 40% close and 50% mid range and 33% three pointers. the centre should be more field goal percentage then but the pg is making 3 pointers and therefore making extra points per field goal to make up for the less fg%.
this needs to be combined with offense consistency being at the right level, so i have it at 0 for my sliders and try and work it out from that with the other field goal sliders.
and to not have exactly like they are bad at something except for three pointers and to have say a good close shooter be able to get 45% from that or more if its a mainly jump shooting pf or c. with it being more from dunks combined with about 50% inside jump shooting and laying up.
so if you can understand how it would be good to have the players shooting to make it more realistic.
so the sliders default ones hopefully should have worse layups (but increased layup ratings 85 being the lowest) and
normal dunk ratings and worse close shooting and inside shooting and better mid range shooting ( so your shooters still can be important players) and normal threes on this years sliders!
watchinggmmode2 is my sliders i use now and you can see them on the xbox one by neon761.
to see all i use, also i think it needs to be less defense on the jump shot and i've done that in those sliders.
maybe i could put my sliders here.
so to summarise, id like normal structured shooting percentages (e.g. 65% inside including dunks, 45% close and so on) for pg, sg, sf, pf and c like for 75 or 87 or 81 ratings (for a league average) and to have it more than that or less (field goal % on that type and distance of shot) on the ratings for that player.(also the role like a slasher could be different to an all round player!).
it would make it a lot easier, instead of making it like nba live, and to have the ratings directly effect the field goal percentage compared to a average player for that position or role. without being like to be kinda accurate still with how the player plays.
this can also include the shooting tendencies too to make them more similar rather than individual, but still to have it individual enough.
anyway, if you understand what i'm saying then please post your thoughts!
