sfx_inside.iff?

Is there any "sfx_inside.iff" in NBA 2K16? All i find in the explorer is "sfx_outside", "sfx_inside_college.iff" and "sfx_inside_highschool.iff".
Have I missed something here? And if not, what's in regular use in arena games?

they are in ogg format you can use audacity!

Make sure you keep the sample rate of the original files. So if the original OGG is 48khz, then make sure your edited OGG is also 48khz.

Yes, thank you! You know anything about the lenght of the track? It was limited to default in NBA 2K15.

In 2K15, it wasn't limited to default. 2K14 was, but not 2K15. 2K16 isn't limited either.

You may run into significant issues trying to mod this file, btw. I've talked to Greg about it, so it will probably work perfectly in the next version of the tool. Just a heads up.

Maybe you could also put mc highschool misc sounds into mc NBA and rest of game modes ?

I like those net and rim sounds much more, why you can only hear them when you are in highschool in MC mode

Try renaming sfx_inside_000.iff to sfx_inside_001.iff and putting it in the modded folder and see if that works. If it doesn't change anything, try importing it. Of course, keep a backup.

I can confirm it works....but I prefer default SFX.....I did try last week it works

Thanks, I figured out how to "mod" it to use high school sounds in all game modes like you mentioned.

But it doesn't sound too well when in game with crowd noise and dunk sounds are still very bad. Also I play online so don't wanna risk to get banned or something.

You won't get banned for modding.

I know you don't need advice but...I wish you could be inspired by those mid 2000's SFX.....even to be honest 2k16 SFX at least for ball-rim are not bad @ alll...swishes/net need some love for sure

Ok I have a problem: I'm using Audacity (last version ndr) but some sounds looks like they are repeated.....look at the above picture....while some sounds are just perfect

It's that a BUG? Should I try a different software?

Some Updates:

First they use this encoder to create .ogg

Second if you replace a .RESA sfx game will crash ....2K files have an extra header before ogg start....



if you put this extra header game won't crash but some sfx won't play ingame.....

I'm digging deep for a solution so far no luck

This is why I said it isn't supported yet. Stuff like this Greg already knows about, and has working for the oggs outside of iffs, like the soundtrack, but hasn't implemented it for iffs yet.
