MyCareer question

Postby eniwfoaes on Fri Nov 13, 2015 3:36 am

Hi everyone. Quick question.
Will my player gain some height as time goes on or it's always same from HighSchool to NBA?
Cause I have started a pf 6 ft 9 in (Larry Bird kinda) and everybody else in High School games seems "dwarf"...

Most people stop growing by age 16, so what you're asking for is unrealistic. And of course a 6'9'' guy is going to tower over other people. The average height for a guy is 5'10''. Do you think most power forwards in the NBA didn't tower over their classmates in high school?

By that you mean that Yao Ming at the age of 16 was 7' 6'' ? So at 10 y.old should be about 6' 4'' so when he was born was about 5'4'' ... Amazing!!

You're a senior in MyCareer so eighteen. Yes, some people grow beyond sixteen, but by eighteen, Yao was in fact probably around 7'4''ish.

Maybe you should do some critical thinking before you try acting like a snarky cunt with no grasp of basic logic. (Y)

So it's okay for him to be rude but not to be rude in return? Got it.

Don't play the victim card. Your response was disproportionately aggressive, and is only going to escalate the situation.

First of all I wasn' t rude at all. You' ve been the rude one but it's ok. That's network!!

Let's just agree that we disagree!
I 'm sure that athlete's that are projected for sports that need height (basketball -volleyball ecc) do proper training in order to gain as much height as possible even in college years.
But all right ..

p.s. what's a snarky cunt? I can't translate it!!
Admin as I don't understand the meaning of the insult it's ok!! (Y)

Let's just keep things on track here. No need to head further down the road than we've already gone.

To answer your question no, your player will not grow after high school.. And on a side note I was 5'11 when I was 15, I grew 3 inches that summer and another inch over the next few years, and my younger brother grew in a similar way so I don't think most people stop growing at 16. My feet actually grew 1 shoe size larger over the last two years too.. I'm 23 now and 6'4

At the age of 16, as TBM first posted, is impossible to get such a difference between alumni sizes that, guess what, all of em want to play basketball. I think they tried to add this metric inequality to enhance the talent and the myth. But as the image shows it's way .... too much.
The example of Yao Ming that I posted (and fireworks started) was humorous, as the growth of height is never linear. But the dude didn't get it!

I wish they'd at least assign the opposing center or whatever to guard you. It's even sillier when some 5-5 dude is guarding your giant. Even if it means I can just dunk on Leftos over and over. No, I don't seek him out to post up endlessly, why would you think that?

TBM wrote:Most people stop growing by age 16

Maybe if you're female, many males can continue to grow through to 25. And growing until you're 20 is much more normal than halting at 16.

As an aside, Yao was only 7 foot at 18. And only 5-5 at age 9.
