I think 2K should have split up the patches. They should have already released the patch that the console's got that fixes ProAM, tuning for MyGM, etc. then released a PC only patch for optimization once that's finished if it was going to take 4 weeks longer to do..

Since 2k16 is free this weekend, I figured the patch would be released today or tomorrow for anyone who might be about to try this game out for the first time. Leftos not having any new info to pass on casts doubt on that though.

Man, how about a patch fixing the CPU's pick and roll defense?

Its simply so easy to kill the CPU using the screens, the big man always rolls to the basket with ease.

Everygame i have like 80pts in the paint, even on HOF

This makes the game unplayable, its crazy

I've tried to adjust the sliders many times, but its simply too easy to score from a pick & roll in this game

This will almost surely be tackled as best as possible for the gameplay patch coming in late November for consoles (hopefully around the same time for PC).

Yeah. I remember reading some twitter response from Ronnie about... 2K13? Not sure, but even replays had a bug that NEVER worked well, also the annoying salaries bug... well, Ronnie said PC patch was coming right away after consoles, then in january... but it never did. That was the last 2K I bought so far until 2K16. It was disgrateful.

So thanks Leftos indeed, good to know there is actually some effort made in fixing this, even if it's way past console patches release. Although we'll obviously will be demanding it, as the game should have come out fully polished.

Yes, this is an important point, the main tweak to me.
Some other claimed/request correction points has its value, but are perfumery near that you complained and I approve/agree.

Moreover, as Leftos said, and I had posted, it's time to work not be making excuses.

We need to give a vote of confidence in who has shown than makes good products such as 2K.
The corrections of any game is almost always the first to the consoles, is where most sell.
But since they come to PC as Leftos promised, it is good.

So my main complaint point is as a gameplay patch, correcting CPU's the pick and roll defense, because it is very easy to master the CPU using screens and big man finalizing to the basket.
Take note here 2K.

I haven't disappeared. I've just been way too busy working on both PC-specific fixes for Patch 2, further improvements for Patch 3 and completing my first features for 2K17. I'm not a community representative, this isn't part of my job description. I hang out at the NLSC and gather as much information to pass on to the team and reach out to you guys because I love NBA 2K and I love the PC version, and I feel obligated to keep in touch with my stomping grounds. However, this is a side gig that I spend time on when I have free time.

Again, we're pushing to get Patch 2 out for PC as soon as possible, and we've made sure to include another slew of PC-specific fixes and optimizations. I don't have a specific ETA, but we're getting very close. I'm sorry I can't be more specific.

Leftos, is Patch 3 for consoles currently being tested for submittal to Microsoft and Sony or have you guys not gotten there yet?

Yes. That's when their developmental schedule typically aims to release the major gameplay patch, and everything I've heard mentioned this year indicates more of the same.

Right? I got excited when I saw that as it seemed like perfect timing after a patch with PC fixes for a game currently quite negative on Steam, a chance to show optimization has improved and change perception. It would be a real shame for the patch to not go live until next week.

Well, the point was that 2K added gamepad to minimal requirement, so there is no obligation to support keyboard.

And when/where did they advertise that change, because the ad poster at me local EB Games had the PC minimum requirements listed at the bottom in small print. Since I was not planning on upgrading my video card until next March, I read the requirements closely, and no where did it say gamepad only and that the keyboard was being restricted in it's use.
Thankfully EB gave me a nearly full refund and my disgust at 2K has returned after the MLB fiasco.
Honestly, I think some posters on this board have their heads so far up 2K's a$$ because they think they will somehow gain employment with them is some capacity. Unbelievable. As for the rest, one thing that assisted me with the stuttering before I returned the game was updating the Nvidia drivers and doing what one poster recommended to do in the "Manage 3D settings" - Power management mode - change to "Prefer Max performance". Made a very noticeable difference for me while I tried to play the game.

It's soon to be a month after release, and I've yet to play a full game. Without the playvision icons, I don't know where to go to get plays to run. So far I've just let it run CPU vs CPU. But for the money paid, I hope I can soon play games.

I think this is part of the problem (bear with me, not blaming you). There are community representatives/managers but I'm not aware of the tiniest bit of info they have given regarding this PC patch. This is not the same case for the consoles, where we knew 1) when the patch was almost finished, and an ETA for submission was given, and 2) when the patch was submitted, an ETA for each console. No mention of PC was ever given for this patch.

The only person who has been in touch with the PC userbase as far as I'm aware is you, and I believe that leads some to view you as the community manager whose job is to...well, manage the community. As I've said before, if you take this same situation but replace "PC" with "PS4 or Xbox" there would be a lot of angry customers, and I'm sure Ronnie or LD2K would be doing damage control. Luckily we have you (and this isn't even your job, as you've mentioned) or we'd be 100% in the dark, wondering when ProAm is even going to work.

almost lost hope for pc version this year.
i used to play on ps4 from 2k14-2k16,but i hate the game instant replay locked at 30fps and missing highlights after game when set to over 6mins a quarter,so i upgraded my pc with gtx980 and i7 and gsync monitor xb270hu,but so far it is not worth it.

if they're working hard on the stutter issue, i'd bet that if they can't fix it by the time they release this patch, there's not going to be any further effort afterwards.

Interested to see the results of the PC patch. I am thinking about doing a new PC build but if NBA 2k16 doesn't work with new systems than I will hold off this year.

That's how yearly release cycle works though.

I don't know what time allocation they currently have, but my guess is that most of it is for 2K16's support and some for 2K17. That might also depend on each dev's role. And it will definitely change along with time.

Don't forget they have "just" around 330 days until release now.

man i got a solution go to the tutorial section and download the limono's trainer - paste to the game folder -open the trainer - open 2k16 - now just only press F7 on your keyboard that work for me -
