Talk about NBA 2K16 here.
Wed Feb 25, 2015 5:38 pm
i have divided my request on Suggestions / changes that definately NEED to be made & my wishlist features
Changes req:-
1. the Shot clock CPU Cheese - I dont mind an impossible game winner by Clutch guys.....but when every second option PG scrub on a horrible team makes them near half court 3s with a hand over their face..CONSECUTIVELY - its frustrating. The HOF CPU is riddled with this and makes the gameplay experience horrible with every defensive poss ending with "COME ON" (Jimmy's voice (south park))
2. The Retro teams - They have downgraded on every aspect compared to 2k14 Next gen.
3. More iso dominated moves by Dominant Ball handlers - Harden, Kyrie, Steph etc. The CPU moves predominantly Play oriented & most ISO moves are dominated by Quick first step. The improvement is massive compared to 2k14.....but i would love for 2K to immulate the harden ankle breaker heroics, Kyrie domination etc.
4. DUNK CONTEST - Fix it man....just fix it.
I remember one of the older EA NBA games - 2009 / or 08 had an over the top Dunk contest with a very simple system.
from the 3 pt line, Off the Raftor, 2 bounce only Net..... haha
5. Better Defensive Sliders -
The offensive Sliders are SPOT ON.... they really help recreate the experience you yearn for.
However the Physical Bad boys like defense is Missing. The grit & Grind in def is missing.
6. Option to select Alt Jerseys in My career
Beautiful work done on all the Jerseys & there animation.
Shame you can really max out on their effort by playing with a diff jersey in Mycareer.
REQUESTS
1. Signature - Create your own - Dunks
2.The hand check, Illegal defense, 90s Basketball rules option.
Would LBJ Dominate in a defensive era / Is the Center Position dead cause of Rules or Talent.
The current NBA rules on Defense rule out any sort of defensive Strategy. Its exceedingly easy to exploit mismatches, Dominate the Post, whoever offense etc.
3. Select an Idol Option in Mycareer -Early on u get to select a legend who u can model your game after. Unlocks those Specific Skills at a Later Stage
Eg) Magic - Fastbreak Pass, Showtime offense, Babysky Hook, More Fluid AI Teammates.
MJ - Aggressive to the Basket, Dunks, Fadeaway, Stifling Def, Ability to Develop 1 Team mate to all star level
Hakeem - Dream Shake, Blocks, Draw attention, Low ego etc...
4. Trash Talk option -
some opponents get thrown off there games others deactivate Chill mode

Well, maybe they will implement DirectX 12. That would help

I've bought 2k the last seven years but I've found myself disgusted with 2k15 lately. For all the polish, features I've always wanted and beautiful graphics, the scripted nature of its best mode, mycareer is a deal breaker. My team was up 20 in the second half to Milwaukee until everybody on my team including me completely lost the ability to score. All the sudden I'm down 5 with 30 seconds left just so I can hit four threes to force OT (with the gray shot meter that shows up when it's a shot you'll make no matter what. Then, in ot I get a 9 point lead in the final minute and Giannis hits five straight threes, forcing me to hit a bunch of free throws to seal the game.
It exciting the first time you win like that until you realized it was destined to happen no matter what.

Face scan for pc

So if 2K16 doesn't have face scan on PC, you won't buy it? THAT's the deciding factor? Really?
Tue Mar 17, 2015 4:03 pm
I can see it:
VC: "face scan comes to pc! List of supported webcams: xyz"
Average player: "OMG, why isn't my $5 dollar webcam on the list? 2K sucks/lazy devs/leftoooos!"
PS: that "$5 dollar" construct is intended.

1. A working D-League/10 day contract system with the actual D-League teams and players. Should've been in this year. Hell, should've been in before this year.
2. Coach mode. If they're still worried about Coach Mode exploiting VC, then they need to take a long look at their VC system. Coach mode needs to be back in this series.
3. This is a minor little quibble, but the system that randomly generates rookie classes needs some fine tuning. It was better this year but occasionally a 6-3 small forward or 6-5 power forward slips through the cracks in the process of generating a draft class. Also, don't get me started on all the times I've seen bald players generated with sideburns. That shouldn't happen. Ever. If hair=0 then sideburns must also =0 unless the sideburns lead to a beard, but they didn't usually. Players generated with the same first and last names was dumb too. James James happened to spawn frequently enough for me.
Compared to the D-League/10 days and Coach mode this is not quite as annoying though since the players are all editable. It just takes a lot of time to weed through the classes to do it.

Why do you guys want D-League so much, i don't get it?
Wed Apr 08, 2015 7:53 pm
1. Allow us to play my career with a rookies or Prime time stars (Vince Carter, Tmac, AI, Shaq, Kobe, Jordan etc. ) with accurate signatures, moves, dunks. It would be so cool
2. Better teammates IQ
3. Retro teams ( raptors 2000 , lakers 2000-02, OKC and many more)

D League is necessary for league modes. Say you draft a raw 19 year in the draft who is 50-60OVR now but has a potential in the high 70s or 80s. If there is no D League to send him down to, he'll sit at the end of your bench or in your reserves with no playing time and not getting experience.
If D League was an option you could send him down, he'll get playing time and experience and you can see his box score stat lines and decide when you can promote him back to your nba roster. This is realistic. Rookies and bench warmers get sent to the D league all the time in real life. Shabazz Napier spent a good amount of time in Sioux Falls. It gives them play time they won't get on your NBA roster and you can watch them progress. Or you can see players that stand out in the D league and promote them to the nba. Players like Hassan Whiteside would not exist if not for his domination in the d league.
I'm not saying the D league is necessary for me to buy 2k16. I'll buy it no matter what. But it's pretty necessary and realistic for some sort of minor league NBA league to be in 2k.

On my second tought, that's actually good idea. But I think it would be better to have MyGM /MyLeague with Euro teams where you send talented players to grow

Well right now you can't do either. To be as realistic as possible you should be able to do both. Fifa for example, when you do a career all the teams are available from every country. So you can manage a team in the Barclays Premier League, and send players on loan to The United States or Saudi Arabia a lower English league or somewhere else if they're not good enough for your first squad. No reason 2k shouldn't have something similar. But in my opinion a d league at the very least is necessary.

I agree with you man. I ain't playing FIFA (PES fan over here), but that is great idea by developers!

I understand that 2K's focus is NBA. So Euroleague: Creating a Legend won't happen. Here's what I need to happen in order for me to purchase:
1. MyLegend needs to come (returns NBA: Creating a Legend and creates NBA's Greatest: Creating a Legend)
2. In MyLeague, allow your MyPlayer to be the league commisioner to allow expansion from 30 teams to how many teams you want, allow relocation and it goes on forever, if it is a franchise.
3. More historic teams (Here is the list:
1950s:
Saint Louis Hawks and Boston Celtics (1958 (57-58))
Minneapolis Lakers and Boston Celtics (1959 (58-59))
1960s:
1970s:
New York Knicks and Los Angeles Lakers (1970 (69-70))
San Francisco Warriors, Chicago Bulls, New York Knicks, Baltimore Bullets and Philadelphia 76ers (1971 as new 1971 teams (70-71))
Milwaukee Bucks and Boston Celtics (1972 as new 1972 teams (71-72))
Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors (1973 (72-73))
Milwaukee Bucks, Boston Celtics, Chicago Bulls and New York Knicks (1974 (73-74))
Portland Trail Blazers (1977 as a new 1977 team (76-77))
Washington Bullets and Seattle SuperSonics (1978 (77-78))
1980s:
Philadelphia 76ers and Los Angeles Lakers (1983 (82-83))
Milwaukee Bucks, New Jersey Nets, Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers (1984 (83-84))
Chicago Bulls and Washington Bullets (1985 as new 1985 teams (84-85))
Houston Rockets (1986 as a new 1986 team (85-86))
Boston Celtics (1987 as a new 1987 team (86-87))
1990s:
Detroit Pistons (1990 as new 1990 team (89-90))
Chicago Bulls and Portland Trail Blazers (1992 returning from NBA 2K11 (91-92))
New York Knicks, Phoenix Suns, Boston Celtics and Seattle SuperSonics (1993 as new 1993 teams (92-93))
Seattle SuperSonics and New York Knicks (1994 as new 1994 teams (93-94))
Cleveland Cavaliers and Indiana Pacers (1995 as new 1995 teams (94-95))
Orlando Magic and Utah Jazz (1996 as new 1996 teams (95-96))
Chicago and Utah Jazz (1997 returning from NBA 2K11 (96-97))
San Antonio Spurs and New York Knicks (1999 (98-99))
2000s:
Los Angeles Lakers, San Antonio Spurs and Milwaukee Bucks (2001 as new 2001 teams (00-01))
Dallas Mavericks, Utah Jazz, Minnesota Timberwolves and Sacramento Kings (2002 as new 2002 teams, 2002 Sacramento Kings return (01-02))
Notes:
NBA's Greatest: Creating a Legend should allow you to play as all historic players for you to recreate the historic careers of them.

I believe Leftos mentioned that this is indeed planned feature for future games. Might be mistaken though.
MY request would be: Get the commentators off the crack.

I would like to see coach mode back.
As far as 6-3 SF and 6-5 PF in the draft, in college there are so many of these types of players if you look outside the big programs. College players usually play out of position if their team is undersized. Just don't draft those guys and if you do you can change their position.

*More realistic nicknames or be able create one random, and commentators would pronounce it

*more authentic commentators after you are longer in a league and you make a statement that you becoming a superstar, they would start pronouncing different after you make dunk or hit a 3pt. For example Carmelo Annnthony, Kobeee Bryant , VC threeee, may someone of you have noticed
*body model, looks so unreal , like calf's so huge and whole body doesn't accurate as you choose weight and body type.
Mon Apr 13, 2015 8:53 pm
Speaking about the commentators...
I would like to see multiple sets of commentators in future games. Say, 3 or 4 different groups, each doing different teams... Add like one group per year in next 3 years and it will be perfect.
