Good advice, will keep it in mind for next time.

For other Games like Fallout4 I would not buy them from a Russian Store, because they will most likely have a Regionlock. But 2K never cares much about the PC Version and puts in no Locks at all.

Played 2k15 hardly at all honestly, my pc was poor last year, and didn't want to play it at such low settings, this year I'm all set, and it will feel extra new because of the fact I haven't played much next gen nba 2k at all.

I just want AI defensive rotation to be good, and defense in general to be fairer and more engaging, then Ill be happy.

Oh and hey Hadley, Dirk and mavs fan over here too! (should be a frowny face for any of the recent season I guess though)

Mee, too. Purchased it on the RU GMG Store for 1800RUB/~25€ and as expected no Region-Lock, normal RoW Key. So if you want to save some money, just use a Russian VPN with a new Account and you should be able to buy it.

Does it will be region-locked if f.e. buy it in RU Steam with Russian acc. and then make a gift for nonRussian acc?

quick google has confirmed that gifts from certain countries are region locked. and russia is one of them.

so if the game is region locks, so will the gift.

That people still don't get it. SteamGifts|=Keys! Yes, if you buy something from the Russian Steam-Store its regionlocked, but Keys are only regionlocked if the Key itself is a Russian-Only Key, but all NBA2K Keys are the same, no matter if you buy them in Russia or USA - there are no regionlocks. So if you buy something from a cheaper Region, buy Keys and never Gifts!

I know that we can't share gifts that are region-locked. I mean will the game became region-locked when I'll buy it in RU for example (sometime they state region restrictions, sometime not). But thx for clarification. Now I know that I can't play my games if I move out from my "Russian region" to other

I'm living in Russia and buying games here - this is not a problem for me. but regarding info from the link provided by grechzoo if the game is region-locked that acceptable for all games in my library I can't play it in the other region (for example if I decide to spend my summer in Spain).

Never mind. Stupid. The number is something like:

YYYYY-YYYYY-YYYYY

I thought this was just one number so I copied the entire thing and pasted into Steam. Just happenes that you only need to copy the second line (YYYYY). No idea what that first line is for.
