What needs to change in order for you to purchase NBA 2K16?

Talk about NBA 2K16 here.

New expectations (added to my edited expectations. NBA's Greatest can go in an EP for NBA 2K16 called NBA 2K16: Legends):

3. In MyLeague, allow us to be the owners where you get to relocate your NBA franchises and allow expansion of the NBA playing your MyPlayer as the commissioner.

I feel like I have not much control of my player this year. I can be playing on offense and be trying to do a behind the back or something else and it takes to long for it to register.

This. This year there seems to be a LOT of input lag. Whether that's due to the animations they have now or not, IDK. But it takes WAY too long for those animations to play out......ESPECIALLY in the passing game.

Without roster editor i will never bought 2k16. Without possibility to mod this game i see no sense in buying this poor console convertion. 2k15 was my last preordered game from 2k.

I'll buy it anyway because I'm a moron.

But I'd really like to see a stripped down MyCareer that's more like MyPlayer was in its first few versions. Ideally with options (undrafted have to win roster slot, potential first rounder who proves themselves at the camps, potential top five pick, etc.) and almost none of the press conferences, endorsements, twitter, etc. crap.

The cutscenes and storyline killed me. Bad acting, bad directing, bad everything. And the gameplay didn't really advance over 2K14 which hasn't really advanced over 2K12. Though I do like the thing for stats in the corner, like the one in every mode with ratings but with my ingame stats. Much better than just the opaque grades.

There were some areas of choice added in that I liked in terms of picking who you wanted to try out for and such. But I'd prefer that in the framework of the optional starting spots. Along with non-scripted setbacks and promotions. If I stink, I need a D-League stint. Don't make me the starter after six games no matter what. (Though at least the teams are now waiving players to put me on the roster instead of magical double-drafting.)

A comparison would be how for years in Association you had a lot of control over how it started, how it was run, how much management you had to do, the level of fatigue and chemistry involved, etc. MyPlayer has always thrust you, unclearly, into a situation over which you had actually zero real control. And which basically just amounts to a rags (initally) or fancy rags to riches story

But it's obvious the devs are too lazy to actually do anything other than playing Telltale games during work hours. Although a more likely situation is that Leftos and Jaosming are both actively working to prevent me from having the MyPlayer nirvana they're aware of. I bet some guy comes to them with an idea and they're like oh shit, that's what benji wants and they shut down VC for a day to hold a Soviet style tribunal and fire that guy.

Even with the more story-driven and cutscene heavy approach, MyCAREER is obviously a long way ahead of what NBA Live is doing with Rising Star at the moment. However, a nifty feature that I wouldn't mind seeing 2K adopting (and Live retaining) is the ability to go to the team of your choice from the very start of your career, if desired. In Rising Star, you're able to nominate a preferred team, which will trigger a trade offer involving your player that you can choose to accept, or you can just make do with wherever you land in the beginning. If NBA 2K16 was to add more variation the MyCAREER experience, offering a few different paths to the NBA and whatnot, it'd be nice to have the option to go wherever you'd like, if you so choose.

That's pretty good, but you forgot to work in something about how they were hired to shut down modding.

One thing I REALLY want to see is more variation in the voices your able to choose. I don't like my white MyPlayer sounding like a black guy. Not meant to be a racial/stereotype remark.......but white ppl don't sound like that lol.

With the amount of things that you guys wanted to have in 2k16, y'all better off creating the game yourself.

Few things off of my wishlist:
  • 3 team trades in MyGM/MyLeague
  • No auto-generated player model-portraits
  • Better trade-logic (trading extremely loyal players/superstars is unlikely for a team that is successful)
  • Ability to remove headbands (such a trivial issue, however waiting for an official update just to remove a headband = lmao)
  • Less scripted cheese to make the game "interesting"
  • Script additional options in SimCast mode (it is good, however play-by-play, speed and other features should be available)

Pretty sure I'll buy it no matter what unless my PS4 breaks. However, if they really want to impress me, they should make a myLeague equivalent to myCareer, sort of like what Benji suggested, with D-League, sliders and such that can be played offline without VC. The mode is fun, but I hate how scripted it feels, with my guy becoming a starter no matter what.

Oh, and Terry Stotts looks like Eric Stoltz in Mask - fix that please

I am not buying NBA2k16 PERIOD. I am sick of trying to pass, getting knocked off balance, recovering and passing to a player that has moved. I'm sick of one offensive player out rebounding four defenders constantly. I'm sick of being the only player that can score despite being wide open. I've had enough of the subtly racist MyCareer interactions. I think I've had enough. Period.

I won't be purchasing NBA 2K16 until it has been confirmed with users that the regression issue that exists in 2K15 has been handled. That issue completely ruins MyLeague for me. I'll also be waiting til six months after it releases to give it time for all the patches to come out so the game will play as it was intended. I refuse to buy another 2K game at launch.

Updated:

1. NBA: Creating a Legend mode needs to return.
2. In MyLeague, allow your MyPlayer to be the league commisioner to allow expansion from 30 teams to how many teams you want, allow relocation and it goes on forever, if it is a franchise.
3. Euroleague: Creating a Legend needs to come.

Euroleague: Creating a Legend is similar to NBA: Creating a Legend, but you have one season in Europe and you go to the 2016 NBA Draft to see if you get drafted in the NBA and go to the NBA, starting with the team you were drafted by.

Do you have programming experience to do that? Cuz I don't think it would be a good idea if you don't. I tried to make my own NBA game, but it didn't work out the way I hoped it would. I cancelled the product because of my bad programming skills. I'll try making an NBA video game, with includes historic teams with NBA's Greatest in Play Now with historic teams alone and connected franchise mode where you can be a player (create one, use existing or NBA legend (players have to be unlocked for that feature in NBA's Greatest)), the GM (create GM or use existing GM) and the owner (create owner or use existing owner). It is going to be special, even without online play (which I need to practice on).

Why ask? I use Java to program games.

The software I use is eclipse with LWJGL. It is not a rumor, because I'm putting that game in production.
