I hate Mondays wrote:Is there a way to tweak AI tendencies of blocking shots even when it's obvious they can't block anything ? For example, in real life, if a player has an open path for a dunk during a fast break and the opponent is pretty much behind, they wouldn't try to block the shot because they would know they can't get there in time. In 2K, the AI tries to block everything and it looks very awkward when you are dunking on a fast break and the AI is figthing the air near the free throw line. The AI should know when to just let it be and watch an opponent dunk.

Short answer: No
Long answer: No and it pisses me the hell off. I mean you are going to dunk and there's a guy at the 3 point line trying to block your shot smh...this has been a legacy issue for a while now...
Real answer:Not without breaking normal aspects of the game, I suppose you could tendency edit down everyone's contest shots / block shot tendencies down so they would just rarely ever jump to block shots, but that would obviously be counterproductive...

It is programmed to not allow human controlled players to do anything in the paint. That was one of their "updates".
Apparently some babies were crying about not being able to defend things like the spin move, which is a legit move that is used in real life, and they took that move out of the game. Unless you shoot or pass out of the paint real fast the ball will be stripped from you. That is programmed that way. Too many crybabies who don't want to learn how to play basketball thought those who do know how to play were cheating so the developers, in their infinite wisdom, decided to eliminate certain abilities (thus making null and void some of the badges) or making certain things a lot harder to do, like strip the ball from an AI player (speaking of making null and void a badge). Spin move badge no longer does anything and should be removed from the game because you can not meet the requirements needed to get it. Just try to do the move anywhere near the paint and see what happens. Not only will it put you into this super slo-mo half spin animation, you will not be able to shoot, pass or move for about 2 or 3 seconds resulting in various outcomes......stripped ball, someone grabbing the ball forcing a jump ball, 3 second violation, blah blah blah. It's not a glitch. You could do that when the game came out. The developers removed it because of people saying it was too hard to defend (well DUH, it is a hard move to defend IRL) and complained that people were using it to get thru traffic in the paint (well DUH, that's the purpose of the move).
There are a number of things you can do on a real life court that you no longer can in this game (technically it isn't really a game anymore, it's a program that controls what the users can and can't do), and they want to call this a simulation. Yeah, right.
Your skills have very little effect any more. The developers have control over everything, which, IMO, if I spend money it should be up to me what I can and can't do, but they don't see it that way.

easy victory. Durant was good!

VERY VERY FAST GAME!
Bledsoe and Night ran always on acceleration to a ring.
Chandler made 16 Offensive rebounds!![]()

I made 20 blocks 9 of them Adams.
Westbrook and Adams stopped in a step from triple-double.

Nice game! I made 1 steal![]()
I noticed:
there was not a game that I made less than 80 field goals and scored less than 100 points....
CPU does steal and goes to fast break leaving in private with a ring doesn't do dunk! Why not?
I love fast pace of game as Westbrook.
can be to try Fatigue Rate – 53/53...?
Sliders the most realistic on a gameplay and statistically.

Timeout, how are you getting so many offensive rebounds?
Thanks for all the feedback guys I'll get back to you with any changes I make going forward!
I hate Mondays wrote:I was in the same situation as mr. Nervous here, 100+ points games only at 50 game speed. I don't know anything about the blocks and offensive rebounds, but what I did to have me and the CPU have less than 100 points/game (sometimes) was to dictate the tempo of the game.
Sure, some teams like the Suns, Thunder, Warriors, Cavs and many more like to run on fast breaks. I would usually stop the fast breaks with a nice shot contest, then I would be on the fast break and I would easily score with a nice passing game. It was like a "7-seconds offense" on both sides. The thing is, the CPU usually scores no matter what to keep up with you if you play on the superstar difficulty. So when I scored a lot of points because of that fast paced offense, the CPU would do the same thing and that was the reason we would both score around 110-120 points.
The moment I played a game as the Spurs against the Rockets, I told myself that the fast breaks isn't really on Popovich's menu all the time. So what I did was to conserve some stamina for those old guys of mine. Whenever I would stop a Rockets' fast break ( a lot of them happened), I would slowly take the ball to the other half, even though I could've ran like a maniac to the other side and score a easy basket in under 5 seconds "my-team" style. I scored less, the Rockets scored less. Everything ended at 91-82 for me, even though I played on 50 game speed.
So what I would suggest Mr. Shady is to tweak the stamina, to make both us and the CPU conserve stamina and decide when it is a good idea to run a fast break or to slowly bring the ball to the half court.
