So far, I've received a few trade offers from the CPU that are a bit iffy. So, I did an exercise (as the Lakers) by searching for trade offers for Roy Hibbert in MyLeague (4 games into the 2015-2016 season). I have Trade Negotiation Difficulty set to 100, though I can't say I've see that changing this value makes any difference in both 2K15 & 2K16
I know that alot of work has gone into improving team decision-making and trade offers etc this year, so I'd be curious to know if anyone from 2K Sports is reading and might be able to provide some insight into why these offers might be made. Ie. does the trade logic take into account actual stats or is it based solely on Ratings, Age, Contract, Team Status, Team Needs etc? Is the game simply accounting for the fact that sometimes teams will just make bad trades (even though in this case this represents 2-3 out of the total 3 offers I received)?
Jazz Receive: Roy Hibbert (ovr 77), 2018 LAL 2nd Round Pick
Lakers Receive: Rudy Gobert (ovr 77), 2016 UTA 2nd Round Pick
According to Team Intel, Jazz are rebuilding and lists Gobert as on an "expiring" contract, though Jazz still have team option for next year, plus qualifying offer rights. Rudy's profile says the he'd like to stay once his contract is up.
Lakers Receive: Andre Drummond (ovr 83), Reggie Bullock
Pistons Receive: Roy Hibbert (ovr 77), 2017 LAL 2nd Round Pick
According to Team Intel, Pistons are rebuilding and lists Drummond as on an "expiring" contract, though though still RFA. Drummond's profile says he's likely to test FA.
Lakers Receive: Demarre Carroll, Norman Powell
Raptors Receive: Roy Hibbert (ovr 77), 2017 LAL 2nd Round Pick
This one I can understand I suppose since Raptors need rim protection and have depth at SF but not at C. Still... it probably doesn't accurately reflect Raptors goals for 2015-2016 and the exploding salary cap.
