TEAM PLAY DOESNT WORK AFTER PATCH?

we tried and went to play as team and we had all 5 and got into the regular walk on lobby and found a team right a way and we went into the regular pro am REC style courts and their were 3 other courts filled with teams playing. i ended up lagging out at this point and my team mates told me it was just laggy and it was just like REC basically. so the question is does it work for you guys now and how did you get it to work? other wise leftos it doesnt work for me
