Upgrade System

Can anyone explain how each category (outside shooting, inside scoring, athleticism, reb, etc.) is capped? I assume it's by your position and maybe even height and weight?

I'm asking because I'm wondering why, as a PG, I can only upgrade my standing 3 pt shot to 80. There have been a lot of great PG shooters in the day. (Mark Price, Steve Kerr, Steve Nash, John Stockton, Terry Porter, etc.). I kinda like the balance in that there are no longer gigantic 7'6", 400 lb beasts running like Usain Bolt in MyPark. But at the same time regretting not being able to dominate singleplayer at 99 rating like in past 2k's.

I remember they asked you what play style you want to be at the start and you get 3 options. Which did you choose? Maybe that's related too.

When? They never asked me that - I'm at the 3rd game in my first NBA season.

But don't worry about the "low" stat cap. They reworked it this year and you'd be surprised by many players' individual attributes.

I agree with Dommy. My reb+D C is 63 ovl now but in 2 games in 2nd season I collecting 12.2 points and 10 rebs and several blocks. so gamer skill is more valuable this year. btw after my rookie year the most interested in my services team was... San-Antonio Spurs even in computer games they know how to find no-one known now but future superstar players
