How to apply a shoes of different brands to a player?

I can NOT figure out how to change the shoes wore by players from one brand to another. E.g. change from Air Jordan to Nike`s shoes...It seems that I am only allowed to change shoes within the default brand???

Also, Option of Model and Colorway seems like the same...what is the difference between them
