This is looking literally real life basketball inside a videogame/pc. I'm totally onboard in the hype train

Gameplay/animations looking super tight and realistic so far in all of the small clips... Really love everything I'm seeing & reading thus far for 2k16! If all of what Scott discussed is true & functional about gameplay, defense mechanics and physics, 2k16 will truly be a super fun game to play! 2k15 gameplay was fair--at best--to me, and despite my absolute love of this series & their delivery on "next-gen" graphics & better animations, it is easily the version that I've played the least since my transition to 2k on PC... My biggest issues with 2k15 were the frustrating and almost complete lack of D, the predictable comebacks by the computer opponent & almost scripted feel of most games. The many patches & updates greatly improved it, but I never felt that I was in control of what was going on and found myself more frustrated than excited to cue up another game...

Can't wait to buy it--definitely going to pre-order for the early release date (cause its probably going to take me till the actual release date before I'll be able to play it--horrible internet)... I know (mostly based on the little bit of video I've seen) they haven't tackled the God-awful create-a-player faces (GEICO cavemen), so for all of the late-to-sign free agents who didn't get their faces scanned, were going to have some really ugly heads on alot of teams... if they can fix the CAP by the next release or make an amazing 3D face rendering (since they are doing so much customizing courts, jerseys etc), then we'll have a complete & perfect game...

And I know this isn't the exact place for suggestions (and maybe this has been mentioned before), but I was thinking it would be cool to have FIBA, Euroleague and WNBA official expansion packs (for the leagues they could get licenses for)... I know many people could care less about some of those other leagues and basketball organizations, but for the people that do (like me), they could take a page out of the SIMS playbook and live off of expansion packs... I thought the Euroleague addition was nice, but when they just jammed the new teams mostly with the awful simian CAP faces, you realized that there wasn't much thought or care that went into it. If you charged people $20 or $30 dollars for an expansion pack, Visual Concepts could devote more time & effort into the faces, uniforms, courts etc cause they'd be making a profit and the people that actually enjoy the extra basketball experience would be happy to shell out the extra money for their favorite non-NBA basketball games! Especially FIBA & Euroleague, cause there's tons of foreign markets that would love to see those organizations handled with some respect & love! A Win-win, I say... Just a thought...

Anyhow... Excited as hell for 2k16! :D

Only disappointing thing so far is that nobody has addressed volleyball cheese. That's a huge problem for me with 2K. Other than that, it's all looking great.

I'm still afraid of all of those bumping animations where you completly lose control of your player. Also, I never played 2k15, but in 2k14 it nearly impossible to dribble a defender and get to the rim. I mean I play basketball and a with basic change of speed you can leave your defender behind. Only way to get to the rim in 2k14 free is to break ankles or to use the "shamgod" hesitation move to a basic change of hands dribble. I feel defense is important, but a player running straight will always have advantadge over a defender running backwards. What are you thoughts about my opinion?

Volleyball tap cheese is when you go for a rebound and for no reason, the ball pops out of your hand and goes to the other team. It happens all the time in 2K15.

"When you play the Celtics and Isaiah Thomas checks into the game, the Celtics will feature him on offense just like they did last season. They transform from equal opportunity offense to one driven by Isaiah’s ability to create shots for himself and his teammates."

That's excellent. However, the blog goes on to describe that when a myleague plays on for many years, and there are no longer current NBA players playing, then game plans go to default plans.

What does that mean for current teams and real NBA players once they're moved to new teams. For example, if someone has a myleague in which Labron moves to Los Angeles Lakers, will the Lakers game plan then take into account Lebron, or will it keep running the same offense as set for the real life Lakers?
