What about the feature where users decide which players becomes coaches?

Hey, is this feature going to be in 2K16 where the user of MyLeague and MyGM gets to choose which players become coaches once they retire? Because I'd like to choose which players can become coaches when they make a player retirement like Nazr Mohammed, Manu Ginobili, Pablo Prigioni, Caron Butler, Amar'e Stoudamire, Tyson Chandler, Deron Williams, Joe Johnson, Janerro Pargo, David Lee, Gerald Wallace, Alexey Shved, Jonas Jerebko, etc.

Yes, as revealed in the developer diary, you'll be able to extend those offers to former players, scouts, assistants, other head coaches, and so forth. CPU-controlled teams will also do the same.

What I'm curious about this BE THE STORY campaign is that is is possible that after our player retire we can be coach, scout, GM as regards to the staff rotation? This will be a breakthrough and I think this campaign is the perfect timing to bridge different game modes.

That's MyCAREER, which is separate to MyGM and MyLEAGUE.

Yes Andrew but what IF 2k will develop this possibilty that after our player retire we can be a head coach, scout or GM? If 2k can bridge the modes, that would be great.

I suppose. Your post seemed to question whether it would be a feature in NBA 2K16, though. I'm guessing not.

Hahaha. Yeah. I was both wondering and suggesting. No worries. :)

I know that but what is the difference on the players becoming coaches? These are the players that I know that can coach once they make their player retirements:

Kevin Garnett
Ray Allen
Andre Miller
Vince Carter
Kobe Bryant
Dirk Nowitzki
Luke Ridnour
Tim Duncan
Tony Parker
Paul Pierce
Pau Gasol
Dwyane Wade
Chris Paul
LeBron James
Carmelo Anthony
Kevin Durant
Russell Westbrook
Tyler Ennis
Damian Lillard
Anthony Davis
Steve Nash (not in 2K16)

How do these players show up in the assistant coaches pool for 2K14, 2K15 and 2K16 in MyLeague and MyGM? Just asking so that I can edit Manu Ginobili, Joe Johnson, or any other player to be coach-ready.

That's something we could ask Leftos in our upcoming interview. As yet, no word on whether there's any limiting factors on certain players progressing to front office jobs, and whether that's a modifiable attribute.
