sweetfx for win 10, 8.1 & 7 (4 versions)

dang. was hoping the modded ini file would help. so bizarre. seriously weird that it works on some win 8.1 systems and not others.

that's a good question, i'm not sure. you can give it a shot, it wouldn't hurt. also did you try installing that microsoft c++ redistributable i linked to above?

Without downloading the c++ in the link you provided I can tell you that you have way more than I. Just looked and I only have 2 from 2008, 2 from 2010, 2 from 2012, and one from 2013. I'm going to get the ones in the link after I post this and make an edit if it works then.

EDIT: It didn't fix it for me. I thought it stayed up just a bit longer than usual before crashing so I uninstalled GeForce Experience which is the only possible conflict and tried it again, but that ended up being a waste of time lol.

crap it really thought we had it. thanks for trying these things. the only other thing I can think of is re-install the game and do a clean install of the driver (recommend trying 340.52). big hassle to re-install the game though.

has anyone with win 8.1 found a way to force sweetfx via radeon pro? if so can you upload the sweetfx files? this way i can port my settings over. thanks in advance.

Disciple, one other easier thing to try...

1) run sfc /scannow from admin command prompt. if no problems show up, cool. if there are, then they should be auto repaired. i run sfc /scannow every month or two.

2) try cleaning up your registry with ccleaner. i do this almost daily (but please first backup your existing registry..ccleaner will prompt you to do this). could be a conflict somewhere in the registry.

Ive tried everything youve posted. Thanks for trying. Im actually thinking it has something to do with the exe file/something that loads at the legal screen.

thanks for bearing with me and trying these trouble shooting ideas. i'm looking around for someone who has been able to get sweetfx v. 1.4 to work with radeonpro (for win 8.1). that way I can port my settings over to sweetfx 1.4 and hopefully it will work that way.

i'm putting the finishing touches on v3... a "broadcast" version, trying to match how the game would look on tv. just testing on different courts and making minor tweaks. hope to have it up tonight or tomorrow at latest.

It still isn't working. The scannow came up clean 3x in a row, but I had around 140 reported items in the registry to fix while running CCleaner. So I thank you for bringing that up!

All that is left now is the big moves like reinstalling the game and if that isn't it windows. I may try a different NVidia driver. If I end up doing so ill let you know how that works out.

are you on win 8.1 ? can you post your log.log and dxgi.log files? it's the same sweetfx versions (just different settings), so if v2 was giving you issues v3 likely will too. I'm heading out for a bit but can help you troubleshoot tonight if you'd like.

yeah im on 8.1. Yeah that would be awesome. I'm not to familiar with windows being that most of my pc and background is in Apple/mac. where are those files located.

They should be in the main NBA2K15 directory (where you copied over the sweetfx files).

A handful of win 8.1 users have been running into a strange xinput problem, and I want to see if your issue is the same or different.
