How do you freaking intentionally foul?

If the guy I'm guarding gets the ball, it takes a minimum 4 seconds to foul him. What is with this? You have to spam the steal button and hope the computer registers it in time??? It was bad in 2k14 cause your teammates wouldn't foul the guy with the ball, you had to do it personally. It's worse here.

When you take a look in advanced controls you can find that for team intentional foul you can press rb+lb and in player lock you just hold x.
And besides the fact it's listed ingame it was answered several times this week here, so for more info search

I know as much, but does lb+rb cause your teammates to help foul the guy you're guarding (if he has the ball)? I end up spamming the lb+rb and the x button to try to get the clock stopped and it almost never happens immediately.

Is it just me? But the CPU controlled team couldn't intentionally foul me when I'm doing the post-up move through half-court. But when I'm forced to get out from the post-up move because of the 8sec clock they can

Yeaaaah, this is fucking terrible....u need 2 or 3 sec to IA understand u set GO, FOUL.... I lose 2 games because me team simply dont make foul in late minutes.

Set Late game fouling to Auto then.
lb+rb works perfectly and fast for me, it's the holding x button in mycareer that's slow.

I'm mostly talking about MyCareer. Don't know if it's any better in the other modes. In other modes, I guess I could immediately switch off the guy I'm guarding and use team fouling, which makes my cpu teammate foul the guy with the ball instead of me spamming X.

Also, auto fouling is crap because you sometimes want to try for a steal. Or the game may decide to start auto fouling too early and definitely put the lead out of reach.
