You can't simulate into the current NBA schedule anymore in Association(League)?

Fri Oct 31, 2014 5:05 pm

In previous -gen versions, you could start up a new assoc. mode and you had the option to start at the beginning of the season or fast-forward to the current date with all the current team and player stats .

This game doesn't allow that from what I noticed (like, I don't want to start myLeague at the beginning of season when there's 20 games left in the NBA season). Anybody else? This was how I spent like 90% of my game time in 2k14 pc

They seriously removed this?

Yep, it's official. I am sticking with 2k14. I am so unbelievably disappointed with 2k this year. Absolutely absurd all of the things they removed and so many of the things they added are flat out broken.

Haha I know. I would play myPark, but that relies on having several friends on and joining specific servers they're on otherwise my original park servers are empty or few people. Online quick match gets boring quick even if I'm 30-0. All-Star team up never finds people to play against. This game is pointless to me now.

Glad to see I'm not the only one frustrated with the current direction of the 2k series. 2k14 was honestly the best and most complete sports game I have ever played. Yes, the servers were sporadic and online play was problematic, but the core game functionality was superb. Franchise functioned very well with some minor tweaks, MyPlayer was decent, the customization options were on-point, and you combine the many positives with the easy modding as well as Vlad's awesome Reditor and you had the perfect sports game. I expected 2k15 to only continue that track with upgrades to gameplay and graphics.

Thus far, here are my frustrations:
1. No current NBA schedule in association
2. No ability to edit headbands
3. No ability to create shoes that automatically change the base color based on Home/Away
4. Server issues
5. Seemingly scripted gameplay
6. More difficult (IMO opinion done intentionally) mod process

2k seems to be making many of the same mistakes EA started to make. They have gotten too full of themselves and thus have begun aiming for the prettier looking product that looks great on a demo as opposed to truly making a deep functional game. Very disappointing.

This just has me sick to my stomach. Of all the features and customization options 2k removed, this stings to worst for me.

The reason being is I usually don't get my Association started until after the All-Star break, and I loved the ability to just pickup the season wherever it currently was at. I just can't believe 2k removed this.

Without question, this is the absolute last time NBA 2k is a day one purchase for me.
