Is there a way to start without acting like a shouting, emotional animal?

HAHA. I started ranting and raving about my crappy teammates and formed a stronger bond with Demarcus Cousins because of it... Two punks on the same page...

I don't want to be a player "A'ight, dats in my DNA", shrieking at my agent, sulking on the couch every time something goes wrong. I don't want to be that personality.

"Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaah BOY!!!"

How about different personalities? I don't want even an avatar that acts like that associated with me. That's not my story.

I like seeing peoples experiences with MyCareer...lets me know how to run my YT series and that is going to require a lot less cutscenes from MyCareer this year :D

Coaching talk makes no sense. In the first half I (C) played limited minutes. I scored 9 points off offensive rebounds and put backs. They never once passed the ball to me in the post. The coach says "we had success working the ball into the post".

They didn't work the ball into the post.

0 turnovers that game.

The next game was Cle vs Sac (my team). The announcers talked about Cleveland (won by 20) getting a big win against a conference opponent.

They REALLY need to add in a white guys voice in this. Seeing my white PF sound like a black guy STILL weirds me out lol.

vs Cle: 16 minutes, 12 points, 12 Rebounds, 1 Assist, 1 TO - Fair (B grade).

I lost points for setting illegal screens. As soon as I set the screen, the defensive player runs into me. It's an illegal screen. Foul and turnover.

I came in with 3 minutes remaining in the first half. Sac (my team) was up by 3. I got a few rebounds and points. We were up by 11 at the half. I pressed 2 to continue. The game jumped to 7 minutes remaining in the third quarter. The Cavs led by 24 points. It was a 35 point turn around in 5 minutes.

I was removed at the end of the 3rd with Sac down 16 (75-91). I pressed 2 and re-entered with 2:40 remaining in the 4th. The score was Sac 77- Cle 104.

I too think the player is a bit arrogant and he uses slang often but how does that make him a thug?? What is your definition of a thug?? It irritates me when someone gets labeled a thug because of the way they talk..

*edit* Dictionary.com's definition of a thug..http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/thug

The only choice for MyPlayer is a guy who is overly emotional and speaks in hip hop-isms.

A'ight

You got dat

Let's do dis

I may play (mostly sim forward with the opposing team taking huge leaps in leads) a few more games. But I don't like this mode.

Also, as I sim forward, superstars don't play like superstars. I have played (mostly simmed forward) five games. LeBron scored 19. No opposing player scored more than 22. Mostly the opposing starters all score 15-20 points.

I define a thug as a person of the flesh. Human people have three aspects - spirit, soul (intellectual) and body/flesh (emotional). A thug is someone who acts emotionally - according to the flesh. He is a body person. He lives an at random life. He's pulled and pushed by current circumstances. When things go wrong he waves his arms, and he shouts angrily. When things go right he reacts over positively, shouting and celebrating - entering the game as if he just won a championship.

In current culture the hip hop and/or rap culture represents the at random, flesh, emotional person. So the phrases like "I got dis" and "A'ight", which mimic the kind of speech used in rap and hip hop music, are signs that someone is a flesh/emotional person.

Emotional/flesh people can do good things. But they tend to be out of control - pulled and pushed by circumstances. Dennis Rodman is an example. Every game he gave his shirt to a kid. Gee whiz that was nice. But when he got tangled up with a camera man, Dennis' immediate emotion led him to kick the guy.

The MyPlayer character displays the actions of a flesh/emotional person. I don't want to be associated with that type of character. It isn't me. It doesn't immerse me into the mode to have that type of person as a representation of me.

Quarter length is 12 minutes, but I get about 10-16 minutes of playing time with 2-5 minutes of it down 20+ in 4th.

Sac vs Indiana.

The announcers started talking about the Sac game against Cleveland.

Remember, the Cavs led by 24 in the 3rd, and by double digits the entire 4th quarter.

The announcers said the Cleveland game was a tough game for Sac, because they let the game slip away late in the 4th thanks to missed free throws.

That description didn't resemble what happened in the Cle game.

VS Ind: We were down 16. I came in with 4 minutes remaining in the 3rd. I scored 6 with 4 rebounds and 2 blocks in about 3 minutes. I stole a pass and threw ahead to the man who was fouled. After he shot the first FT, the coach pulled me from the game.

As I walked to the bench the coach got in my face. "What the heck was that?"

I didn't get to choose my reply. My Myplayer said angrily "It's called basketball."

Why would a coach get in a player's face after 3 minutes: 6 points, 4 rebounds, 2 blocks and after a steal and pass leading to free throws on a fast break?

2 minutes remained in the 4th. We (Sac) were down 26. McCallum hit a jump shot from about 15 feet. The announcers started discussing that Sac is making a lot more three' pointers as they try to get back in the game, before it's too late.

26 points down with 2 minutes remaining is too late.

A 15 foor 2 is not a 3.

Steve Kerr "Paul George converted almost every chance he got in this game."

Harlan "There's ANOTHER miss by George."

18 minutes 16 points 8 rebounds 2 assists - B+ Good.

If the rest of the team played like Myplayer, we'd be winning by 20+ instead of losing by 20+.

This feels scripted. No matter what I do in my time on the court, no matter what momentum we have or even lead, we lose the games by 20+.

It's like I'm playing, but the script is that myplayer and the team struggle, so that's what happens and that's the way the coach reacts to my performance.

Is it scripted to lose?

Every other game I entered with 4-6 remaining in the 3rd and 4-5 remaining in the 4th.

vs. GS we were up by 17 at half time - 67-50. I started the 3rd quarter. I never before started the 3rd. I scored a basket to put us up 19 - 69-50. The coach took me out.

I re-entered with :50 left in the game, and Sac now down 100-95. We started fouling and lost 107-103.

At the end of my 10 day contract I was averaging 13.4 minutes, 9.8 points, 9 rebounds. Sac gave me a new 10 day contract, although I didn't earn a permanent roster spot.

What team wouldn't kill for a guy to come off the bench with those numbers?
