How many cores does this game use?

I have a 6-core and the processor load on my temp monitor CoreTemp shows the game is using all of the cores.

If the game is optimized for consoles, it should use all 8 cores as both PS and Xbox use AMD architecture, which means worse performance on single core processes but better performance for processes that use all your cores.

If you want to make a future-proof purchase, you should go with AMD. I just got an 8350 because it was rather cheap (160 euros). But you will also need a good GPU, and at the moment good GPUs that can run those games on ultra settings with 60FPS cost a lot (400 Euros+). So if I were you I'd wait on that front, unless you're someone affluent enough to not care.
